I just booked my ticket to CA! Airfare is SO CHEAP right now!!
First/Business tickets are usually $1100+, but they're going for $679 right now!
What is going on?!
DH recently purchased super cheap tickets to TX too.
I guess now's the time to fly?!

Ha. Not from here, it's not. Flights are stupid expensive to and from here because of the Olympics. I wish.

We are going to St Thomas the middle of August. So excited!! We used points so we didn't have to pay for the tickets. Even better!

We are going to NJ for a family trip to the shore in Aug and then I'm going home to MA for my shower in Sept. both flights were reasonable but definitely not crazy cheap.

@Smurfette: I used miles/points too!! Because fares are so low I didn't have to use as many as I had originally thought I would!
@zippylef: So awesome that the Olympics are so close to you though!!!

Not me, but my mom has been keeping an eye on plane tickets from TX to PA in case I go into labor early (she has a ticket for Aug 5th, 5 days before I'm due). She texted me yesterday to tell me there I could go into labor on July 31st because the ticket was $119, which is crazy-cheap.
Off-topic (sorry!) Southwest is awesome because when she called the other day and told them I was full-term and she was concerned about essentially throwing away what she paid for her 8/5 ticket if I go early they told her to go to the customer service desk and they'd credit the cost of her purchased ticket towards a new one...and in the case of the 7/31 ticket she mentioned, it would actually be a refund!

I'm not flying anywhere until the fall... I'm on an airplane travel hiatus right now, given that DD is only 3.5 months old. I have some work travel in the fall to Cali and to Montreal, and I'm still debating whether to leave DD at home or to take her and DH with me on the plane rides. I have to decide fairly soon...

We're flying from Houston to Jacksonville in Sept. to go on a cruise with my family. Those tickets were $350 pp. The plane tickets cost as much as our cruise tickets cost.
