I only had one, but we're still friends! Not as close as we used to be through - we're both so busy these days with our own families.

Yep 4 BMs and MOH. I had a brief falling out with MOH, but we are back in touch, and I'm still friends with all of them!

Muahaha. I only had one MoH and she is my sister so yes, we're still friends
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
5 of them! I parted ways with one of them. She was really sanctimonious about her religion and I couldn't take it anymore.

Yes! 3 of them were my sisters, one is my lifelong BFF (who happens to now be my SIL ) and the other was my high school BFF and I will be in her wedding this sept

@Charm54: Ah, I always wanted my BFF to marry my brother so we could be SIL's!!

Only had 2, but yes! My MOH is still my best friend and my bridesmaid is about to get engaged and Im going to be a bridesmaid in her wedding.

Yes. But I think it also has something to do with being married later in life.
I talked to my SIL about this when I got married. She got married at 24 and I got married at 34. She would have chosen someone totally different if she got married today (she had her best childhood friend. They're still friends, but not as close). But I chose friends that I'd had long, adult relationships with, so it was different.

My two BMs are my cousins. So yes.
We had a destination wedding with only 24 guests. I've had a falling out with one of them and another just "faded" away.

@lawbee11: so sweet!
We had my nieces as the Jr bridesmaids and my step sons as the Jr groomsmen

@MaryM: Ehhhhh. I got married at 23. We're all still friends and I still wouldn't pick other people 5 years later. So, I dont think thats true for everyone.

Yup. Some more than others. And 1 that I probably wouldn't be if she weren't part of a core group of us that have been friends since the 9th grade.

I only had one bridesmaid and she's still my BFF. Wish she lived closer, I haven't seen her in person in years.

Well, I just got married less than 3 years ago, so yes. I had 3, one was my little sister. The other two...I've moved across the country, but I still consider them close friends even if I hardly see them. I was just a bridesmaid for one 3 weekends ago. The other one just got engaged and I totally expect to attend her wedding, too!

@Mamaof2: haha it is perfect! It was slightly awkward when I had to call her and tell her I was dating her brother LOL but it's great now!!

I had 3 and we are all still friends but are also in different stages of life. I still love each one dearly!

2/3. My stepsister and my BFFF. But my MOH barely speaks to me. Her ex-fiance is one of D's best friends, and like family to my whole family, and I think it's just too weird for her. We're still FB friends, but that's it.
grapefruit / 4703 posts
Yes, mine were my SIL and my lifelong BFF and I'm still just as close with both of them, maybe closer. I chose to have a small wedding party for this exact reason. DH's groomsmen were his brothers and mine.
pomegranate / 3729 posts
I only had 2 besides my sisters. I would say that I am closer at this point to some of my other friends, but I am still friends with them.
pineapple / 12053 posts
I had 11! And I'm still friends with them all. 3 are sisters or SILs, 5 are HS friends, 3 are college friends/roommates. Varying degrees of friendship with all but I still consider them all some of my closest friends and I don't live in the same town as any of them.
pomelo / 5791 posts
I had 2 bridesmaids and 3 bridesmen. My bridesmaids were both cousins and we are still close. My bridesmen were my brother (still close) and my 2 best friends - and we're still best friends.

@loveisstrange: I don't think it necessarily applies to everyone.
But part of the conversation we had (that I forgot to include) was that 10 years ago, I would probably have not chosen the same people (especially since I didn't know one of them yet).
The people I would have chosen then are not my closest friends now.

I see most of them regularly, but one has moved out of state and we just have a social media relationship.
clementine / 903 posts
2 of the 4. 2 I don't talk to. No major falling out, but we drifted. Got married at 23 though. If I were choosing today I would choose a little differently.
grapefruit / 4442 posts
Yes. is out of state and we see each other whenever she comes back to see her family. I'm MOH in my MOH's wedding. My other friend is a college friend and we see each other maybe every other month. Its hard but I try to keep in touch with people
pomegranate / 3768 posts
Absolutely! My MOH I was friends with since I was 5 and the other girls ever since high school. Besties for life!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
Yes! 1 of 6, lives out of town, like 12 hours away. We don't talk as much as we used to, busy with kids/work, but I still consider her a close friend.
eggplant / 11824 posts
I only had 1 MOH (no BMs), and we are no longer friends or in contact with each other, which used to make me very sad, but which I’ve pretty much just come to terms with by now (I got married 4.5 years ago). We never had a falling out, but she changed a lot after my wedding and went through a lot, which I think distanced her from everyone. We were friends for over 15 years, so it’s sad to lose that friendship, but also, we probably wouldn’t have been friends as adults had we met as adults instead of in high school. It is what it is.
blogger / grapefruit / 4836 posts
Yes, although one was my SIL, and two I don't talk to often anymore because we are in different life stages, I still consider all of them friends.
clementine / 920 posts
I purposefully only asked people that I knew would be in my life for a very long time. My best friend since the 1st grade was my MOH, then my SIL and cousin. There were a few friends I considered but our relationships have changed so much in the last 4 years I am glad I kept it small.
pomegranate / 3355 posts
I only had 2 and yes we're still friends although we don't see each other that often.. different places in life.... one is the forever single/traveling college friend and another is busy/corp friend married but only furbabies.
