I hate researching and checking reviews!
I wish someone would just tell me what the best fridge, double oven, washer/dryer, range, dish washer and microwave are..!
Building a house is great, but so many decisions to make! Not good for this indecisive person!

Until I find something I like. @chopsuey: we did buy all Whirlpool for our house three years ago and it has held up great. The architect series is what we went with.

It really depends on how much I care about it. Decorating - yes, appliances - no. I usually just tell DH the top 2-4 things that are important to me and he'll do the research and show it to me. Then he'll usually find a deal on it and buy it.

To a point, yeah. But then I just totally burn myself out on it, make a decision, and move on. And hope that I got it right!
I am doing that right now with umbrella strollers!

I am overwhelmed with convertible car seats so I am making
DH do the research this time. I am giving him a list of some to choose between.

Yes. I am an obsessive researcher. I comb through reviews, reports, and look in person to make sure something is the right choice for me. It could be appliances, furniture, trips, hotels, anything to help me feel prepared.

I spent hours and hours researching cloth diapers. Seemed like the reviews are so wishy washy for all diapers.

It really depends on what it is and if I care about it. I spent FOREVER looking for a coffee table. DH usually gets more into the technical aspect of appliances, but if it goes along with my tastes, I generally let him go for it.

yes!!! i research and price shop...except for electronics - DH handles that...he researches and i encourage him to price shop (he likes to just go with his gut instinct and make a purchase) 
hope one day we'll be able to build a house!! DH and I talked about it but neither of us have taken any action (it just seems like a lot of research/work to do)

DH is...it takes him forever to make a purchase on something, but when he finally does, he gets the best of the best for our budget.

Ugh...yessss...obsessively. Right now I'm in my own personal hell researching baby stuff & it's driving me crazy. Glad to see at least I'm in good company

Yes, and I love it, but if I had to make a lot of decisions all at once, it might kill me.
Maybe you can pick out one resource to be your go to? I like consumer search--they look at and summarize all the major review sites and tell you their top picks.
