We will probably visit Mr. bee's parents in the Philippines again. We won't go to LA though because we will go during spring break and christmas instead.
I so want to take a family vacation, but just visiting family takes up all our vacation time/money.
I definitely want to go camping this summer though!!

Going to stay with the in-laws in Florida, but would love to be able to go to a friend's wedding in Portland. Camping sounds fun too, I hope we can get away for a couple of weekends.

@Mrs. Bee: camping with your kids? Have you done it before? My 5 yr old really wants to camp but I wonder about the logistics with eating/bathroom/ bed - and DD peeing outside! 
Or maybe you mean a campground with facilities?

We're definitely planning a vacation, but we're torn as to where. My family is doing a reunion in Texas, but all of our time and money seems to be spent flying back and forth to Texas for family, so we're torn between attending and doing a different vacation just for the three of us.

Probably not. Being on maternity leave at the beginning of the year doesn't bode well for traveling in the summer.

We're going to Alaska. I'm hoping we can go to NY too. One of DH's friends is getting married there and I want us to take a couple extra days and visit NYC. He's never been.

@Mamaof2: We haven't! This would be our first time. Olive would be 2 1/2 and Charlie would be 4 1/2.
We would probably go to this camping ground that I've been to before because it is very comfy. Even though we would sleep in a tent, they have bathrooms (with hot showers!!), a lake w/ boats, and a waterfall if the kids can make the mile+ long hike. Should be an easy intro to camping.
I've been camping hundreds of times so I'm not worried! Now that they're older and their sleep isn't as big of a deal, I think we're ready to go! 5 year olds are definitely ready... I went all the time then!

@Mamaof2: as far as eating, we always bring a gas stove and cook all our meals. just load up a cooler with ice and food and you're good to go!
I'm sure I will write an extensive blog post about it once we go!

We're hoping to make a trip out to Seattle and Portland since DH might have a work conference in Seattle. IF that doesn't work out, we have a wedding in the bay area to go to, and might try to add in a trip to Yosemite or somewhere cool!

We talked about renting a cabin for a long weekend but that really is not my idea of a vacation. Maybe a weekend trip to Chicago if I can convince DH it's necessary

We're going to San Antonio in April to visit BIL, SIL & our nieces. Nothing planned for the summer but hopefully another long weekend somewhere!

@Mrs. Bee: I can't wait to go camping with LO this summer. We camped a lot growing up. I even considered getting one of those campervans. Looking forward to the camping post. Fun fun! One day I want to have a camping themed party for LO if she wants one.

We are going to Disney World in August and back east for a wedding in September. That's a lot of traveling for us and in such a short period of time that we'll have to hold off on traveling the rest of the year.

Back to New England to visit family and attend my friend's wedding. We'll probably make it a 2-week trip. We'll attend the wedding in VT, visit w/ family, and go to the beach if it's warm enough.

I'll be headed to MN to visit my BFF and her first baby girl! (due in may), we're heading up north to a local destination wedding for fourth of july, we'll probably do a wknd in NYC. and then our fam vaca to the beach somewhere in sept!

We're going to Lisbon this month (just for fun) and London in the summer (for SIL's wedding and to visit family). We're hoping to tack on a trip to Istanbul after the wedding.
@Mrs. Bee: Since you're not going through LA, maybe you could do another city in Asia when you go to the Philippines this summer? I like the idea of adding a family vacation to a visiting-family trip - everybody wins!

For the first time in 5 years, we won't be going to the UK or Spain this year (unless there's a family emergency)... I really want to have a rest from flying this year. I think we're going to hire a car and head to a cabin in a National Park instead, I can't wait!

Does driving 2 hours down to huntsville for the Doctor Who convention count? We won't do much because I'm due in early September, and we just got back from a cruise so that was sort of our vacation for the year.

With baby number two scheduled to come the first week of July - nope! Will be too hot and pregnant to travel in June and traveling with a newborn and a 12 month old just sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Yes! We're planning a big trip to south asia.
But...*gulp*...will be leaving LO behind. She'll be a year old then. I'm already scared of missing her, but I think we'll start trying for #2 shortly after, so there's no telling when DH and I will be able to go on a big trip again.
