Im sitting here at work and wishing I had taken the day off. This place is a ghost town because of the holiday Monday and I can't focus to get anything done!! Ugh!!! The few coworkers who are here decided we should go out to eat which means I can't leave early (it's fine, but I am ready to get home! I haven't seen my own house in TWO WEEKS).

I'm working from home today! We already had our long weekend this past week so it was already a shortened week.

Nope! We have 2 inclement weather makeup days built into our school year and thankfully we didn't have to make any up. I am thoroughly enjoying my 4 day weekend.

I'm working today. I had hoped that my boss wouldn't be in the office since he's been working from home on Fridays. Instead, this is the second Friday he's working. So, my whole team of three is here. I'm hoping to finish some files before 3pm. Then, home, clean a bit, and relax.

@babyjmama: Both myself and my coworker are surprised he's here. For awhile, it seemed like he was embracing the Friday work from home thing. I wish he'd go back to that. It's so much better for his health. I say this as I've worked with him for 7 years now. He needs to work from home on Friday.

@mrskc: oh nice! My boss at my old job often sent is home are noon on holidays, my new boss is a workaholic so I don't see that happening.

Yup. Working! I leave at my normal time today (we're too busy to leave early) and can't WAIT for the long weekend! This is the first day off I have had since New Years Day that has been paid. (I took a couple of unpaid sick days when I got the stomach bug from my daughter). I finally get my PTO back on July 1.

@mediagirl: yay for time off! I had a TON of PTO at my old job but since I'm new still here I can't use it until September! :(I ugggggh!

@babyjmama: I ended up staying until a little after 7...oops. DH and I stagger our schedules so LO doesn't stay at daycare too long. He went in early today.
