heh, same here. Babysitting would cost about as much as a date (dinner and movie). My mom does babysit for us though, we pay her in love, appreciation, and occasional Joann purchases lol
My sister owes me for babysitting too - so I know she would as well.

Once Cobi is a little older we will probably try to go out more like once a month, or every other month. We don't plan to have another kid anytime soon.

But no, our fridays/saturdays are boring now. We actually stay home quite a bit unless there is a wedding or family function to go to.

Ummmm our LO isn't even here yet and ours are already not exciting! Last night we watched the Wellenda walk coverage (and the leading up to it stuff) for a few hours and some funny videos on YouTube before we just went to sleep! Tonight we are going to dinner but then we'll be home watching Grey's until bed

Same boat! We have our mothers close by but we never want to inconvenience them.

Not so much! Our weekends are precious though with DH working out of town all week. We live in a medium sized suburb in West Texas so there is not a lot to do. Last night we ate out dinner and he took me for a slushie, tonight we grilled and went for a walk. Nothing excited, but fun for us.

We go to a ton of early dinners at 5 or 5:30 when places open. LO is great at restaurants (he's 10mo)... Loves trying new foods, getting his juice-flavored water, his mum mums, etc. Then we pick up a bottle of wine, put baby to bed, and enjoy the bottle of wine together over a movie or chat or game. It's nice.

@Oceanis723: that's a great idea, I'd love to find someone to do this with, but it's hard with sleeping schedules! What's the secret!??!?!?

We're so boring. But we were this way before kids.

Yes, if you count your in-laws picking random fights with you exciting. Grrrrr.

We don't have any LOs yet and won't be trying until January, and our Fridays and Saturdays are already pretty tame! We usually go out for dinner together on Fridays and then hang out at home. We usually have friends over on Friday evenings, but we're still probably in bed by 11pm or so. Saturdays aren't too exciting either. This past Saturday, our day consisted of ripping up all of the carpet on our main level and pulling a bazillion staples out of the original hardwood. Next Saturday, we'll be sanding and refinishing the floors. That's about the most excitement we've had on a weekend for awhile

we usually stay in and have recently been into watching old (but good) TV series (Friday Night Lights anybody?) Every once in a while, we'll ask my parents or my husbands parents to come and babysit for a special occasion, but most of the time, we stay home.

We don't even have kids yet and we're super boring. Most Friday nights we stay in and watch movies or something. Occasionally on a Saturday we'll go out for dinner. We're trying to do more now while we CAN, though!

@looch usually the kids would get dropped off at the baby sitting moms house. The kids then would get to play together a litte later than normal bit of there was a baby usually the parents brought a port a crib. They also had one mom who preferred to go out for a later dinner. Each mom would put their own kids to bed then babysitter mom would come over to going out moms house and watch the kids while baby sitting dad stayed at home with his own kids

They seemed to work out a good arrangement with each other.

Haha no. Not even before we got pregnant. Before we bought our house, we had pretty regular date nights on Saturday nights, but it was usually just trying out a new restaurant or something. Fridays in particular are boring, DH usually works so it's just me and mah laptop. This past Saturday night we ordered Chinese food and then played Catchphrase in bed while drinking Sprite. Yep.

I'm pretty excited for tomorrow night, our small town that we just moved out of (DH still works there) is having their annual "Strawberry fest!!" Everything and anything you can think of with strawberries will be there!......Strawberry brats.....YUM!!

Not at all. LO is 14 months old and we still haven't had a night out! Our excitement usually comes from parties, between our families there's one most weekends, especially in the summer.
