Mr. Bee and I have made a number of parent friends in our neighborhood. We recently realized that all of them are wealthier and more educated than the both of us (they all went to harvard). It doesn't bother us though... they are cool, interesting people!
When it comes to my normal circle of friends, they run the gamut as far as education and socioeconomic status, from high school degrees to advanced degrees. What about you?

Pretty much all the same! Either they have undergrad degrees like us and/or they've been working full-time since they graduated high school. I don't think we have any friends that are pursuing high education currently nor are there any of our friends who make an insanely higher/lower amount than us.

We hang out with people who are in our same socioeconomic status. Some probably make more, some may make less, but we're not friends with anyone who makes it obvious that they have a lot more money than us.

A lot of my friends have advanced degrees but DH and I don't. But we probably make more money than our friends, just because of the field that we are in.

Our friends are in the same socioeconomic status more or less--either middle or working class. We have a couple of friends that only have a high-school diploma--but many of our friends, like my husband and I, have advanced degrees.
One couple of close friends we call our "rich" friends. They are not actually rich, but they do make the most money out of all of us. It's not something they flaunt, though sometimes I have to say "Ok, we need to go to a cheap restaurant :)"

We're in a weird place right now financially, we have money but we're not making much at the moment, so in a way most of our friends are making a lot more, but in some ways we're more financially secure.
Most of our friends are either PhDs or MDs since we've been mainly in towns where the only thing around is the hospital/university. Even staying at home more and meeting other mommies a lot have their PhD - if you're in this town you're probably an academic.

Our best friends are super rich, we are doing well and everyone else is on a budget. It makes things awkward at times, but we just try to treat our friends to small things when we can...but we definitely have to tell our rich friends that sometimes we can't afford that trip to Hawaii! We try not to put our other friends in that position.

Most of my friends have Bachelor's degrees from state universities and some are working on their Master's (like me). I have a few friends who went straight into the workforce after college, but I never tend to think about it, because they're successful as well.

Most of our have the same education as we do, Bachelor's degrees from state or private colleges. We all make around the same amount of money, we might make a little bit more, but not a significant amount more.

Most of our friends are the same as us - college educated, with some debt and jobs making 35-45K. I feel like we are varying degrees of "poor" though, since many of our single friends don't have many obligations or goals they are saving for, and can spend more freely. But most of the time, we can relate to each other when it comes to our financial situations.

We're all pretty similar, but choose to spend our money differently. We have friends who just bought a house twice as big and twice as expensive then ours, but now they can never go out and do anything because they can't afford it. We just have different priorities I guess.

For the most part my friends are of the same socioeconomic status that we are. We probably have more in our savings/investment account and more equity in our home because my husband is a former pro athlete so we built up some good savings. But now, we earn about the same as our friends. However, my husband's closest friends from high school all do not have college degrees and are certainly in a lower socioeconomic bracket than we are. We moved away from home though so we don't really feel that issue since it's not like our lives are compared often.

Education wise I am the only one in our group of friends (including DH ) that has a graduate degree. Everyone else has their associates degree, or is working on their bachelors.
Financially, we have one couple that we are very similar too, but other than that we make significantly more than they do. It doesn't bother any of us though!

Interesting question because I really don't know! We can only guess but I think we're all around the same? We never talk about money or how much we make, etc. And it's never easy to tell by looking at someone's house/cars/etc because they could be living a fancy life with tons of debt, which isn't any better than someone who lives a moderate life with no debt.

I think that most of our friends are about the same with a handful of friends who are wealthier than us because of their career choices to work in finance, etc. It's hard to say thought because like Banana, we don't talk about finances and they could be living a fancy life with a lot of debt...

I have friends who have graduate degrees and friends who have no college degrees. It's funny, though, the level of education doesn't always correlate with the income level. We all grew up in the same type of SES, so I guess that puts us all in a similar category - however, I was the only one who lived in a condo/apartment through high school.

DH and I are more educated than our friends.. (we don't have too many friends though!). We're also financially more stable. We'd love to make friends who are more on our level though. :T
