How boring! Haha. My daughter is getting a dress with leggings and some slippers for Christmas. I threw the slippers in the bag with the dress so hopefully that makes it slightly exciting.
Will your kids get clothes for Christmas?

Christmas jammies, per tradition, and rain boots. We updated her winter wardrobe right after Thanksgiving, so no real need for more.

No. I buy clothes for them when needed, and they don't see clothes as presents unless there is a train or construction vehicle on it.

No. She doesn't really need any clothes. I usually got some clothes at Christmas so I'm sure she will in the future.

I think others have bought them clothes. It frustrates me a little because DD wears way smaller than her age and DS wears way bigger so no one can ever guess right

Yes, but they're Disney princess dresses so I think she'll be excited.

I really hope so! Usually the grandmas like to give them clothes, and they're both in the next size and need them!

DS is getting an astronaut costume, but that's it for clothing gifts.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: an Ariel tutu dress is not considered clothing in my head. That is dress-up play clothes! She's going to love it!

@mediagirl: it's this! Kind of a cross between normal dress and dress-up costume.

No, but I snagged a pretty tutu on sale and thinking about wrapping it as a New Year's day gift. She's finally motivated to put away her clothes ever since she got a mini clothing rack.

no...I buy clothes when she needs it.
My mom is getting her shoes tho..does that count?
Oh and a friend of ours works at Gap and got her a Christmas present from Gap kids.

Christmas pjs as tradition.
Lo1 is getting jeans
Lo2 is getting more pjs
Lo3 is getting preemie onesies.

No, clothes would not be appreciated as a present by DS. To me Christmas gifts should purely be "wants", as parents we take care of the "needs."

DD is getting pajamas (christmas eve), cozy pants and some socks.
DS is getting a bear suit and matching cozy pants. DD LOVES matching her brother so she'll be really excited about that. I mostly buy clothes as needed.

yes. she asked for them for both herself and DD2, lol.

We already did Christmas with DH's family and she got some. I'm sure my mom has bought her some too!

Yep, they both will because our families LOVE buying kiddie clothes. M is getting a few shirts from us, but only because I bought them last week and figured I should wrap something up for him!

Yes but I bought her sparkly boots from stride rite to replace the sparkly boots from last year that she loves so I think she will be excited!

DS is getting some character PJs he's been wanting, so he will be pretty stoked.
DD is getting a couple of outfits, she's just 15 months so she doesn't care either way. ETA: she's also getting some UGG boots and I actually think she will be pretty excited for them. She loves shoes!

@mediagirl: hahah, realized he needed PJs last week, he's getting PJs

@pastemoo: You're reminding me that basically anything we ran out of during the month of December turned up in our Christmas stockings. Toothpaste, batteries, band-aids . . . my mother was not above practical gifts.

Not from us, but I'm sure she'll get some from family. Most of the clothes I buy her are second hand, so I would feel weird wrapping them. But when she's older, if I buy her a cute new outfit, I absolutely will.

He only really gets pj's new, but he's already wearing his Christmas pjs because we didn't have enough! I think practical gifts are OK. At this point some of the stuff we bought for "Christmas" are already in use because he's to young to know the difference.

No, but they do need it so I told some family members. I'm waiting till after Christmas to fill in as needed. I know they're already getting a few items each from my brother & SIL.

Christmas Jammies on Christmas Eve, and some new undies and socks in her stocking. We always got practical gifts growing up, too.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@Silva: hah you reminded me DD did pick out Frozen undies and tank tops at target. And I got them both critter socks.
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
@regberadaisy: my 2.5 year old will absolutely be excited about her new undies (with cats or bunnies or something on them)!
