Starting to think about introducing the concept.
At what age did you first potty train? When were you successful?

LO is only 8 months but interested in hearing when people started so I know when I should think about it.

23 months! She was potty trained a week before she turned 2
By day 2 of potty training she was going on her own (we kept her bottomless and she would walk to the potty, sit and go when she needed to).
2 weeks later we put her pants back on and she would tell us when she needed to go.
2 weeks after that she started pulling down and going herself.
She's been diaper free with no accidents (even at night) since she turned 2.

We started potty learning at 6 months old when we would sit on the potty. He started peeing in the potty at a little over 1 year old. By 18 months he was successfully peeing on demand (and then peeing again). At 2 he is fully daytime pee trained.
When I say trained, we take him potty every hour and he pees on command and pees his pants less than 3 or 4 times a week.
He has pooped in the potty and now tells us as he is pooping in his underwear but we have had issues with poop anyway.
We are very happy with were we are with potty training. It was a long processes and we focused on keeping it fun and positive. I am confident he will be completely fully asking to pee and taking himself by the time he is 3 and ready for preschool.

19 months. We were fully successful within 3 weeks (night and day trained) and some of the slowness there was because after the first week (during which DS had a sinus infection, ear infection, and hand foot mouth disease) he had to go back to day care and use a big potty rather than the little one he'd learned on.

3.5 and 3 and 3. I am hoping my girl is a little easier. We tried a year earlier when the boys were 2.5 and 2 but it was a nightmare

LO has just started really showing an interest at 23 months. We bought a potty seat and let her use it when she wants. I was hoping to wait until she was at least over 2 as we are taking a long road trip right after her birthday. I thought it would be easier in diaper than with a newly trained kiddo.

We did EC with DD, and then fully potty trained her at 18 months; it took 3 days for her to in underwear full time without accidents. We've also been practicing EC with DS and hope to potty train him before the end of the year, at 20 months.

We tried at 20 months, but it was a disaster. We retried at 2 1/2 year old and she caught on a lot quicker!
