We switched really young this time because its easier to change a diaper with 2 piece pjs. Shes been in 2 piece since around 6 months, and I wish I had done it sooner. We just do the top and pants, just like daytime.

What diapers are you using overnight? That sounds pretty rough!

Sometime around 12 months. It was much easier for changing and it's warm here.

She was about 12 months but we've had to switch back to one pieces (zipper ones, on backwards) at 2 because she started taking her nappy (diaper) off and peeing the bed.

We started using 2 pieces around 6 months because it was warm but we still like using sleepers for cold weather. He has some warm 2 pieces but sometimes they ride up and I worry about his bare belly and legs!

She is almost 2.5 and we do both- started mixing two pieces in maybe around 18 months? She seems to prefer the one pieces though (although she can take them off herself now- hasn't tried the diaper trick that @Cherrybee: mentioned-- yet-- but it could be coming). We haven't potty trained yet, not sure how that will affect it.

We still do one pieces at 2. He doesn't do so good at sleeping under blankets and I'm worried his shirt will ride up and his feet will get cold. I don't really get the whole diapers are easier to change in 2 pieces thing. In the morning PJs come off, and new diaper and clothes go on. We don't really ever change his diaper and keep him in PJs.

@ShootingStar: We change her every time I nurse her during the night, which is still 3-4x, but it's the same level of effor whether she's in a two piece pj set or one price sleeper! Also, the two piece sets I got for Xmas all have tags on them that say it's supposed to be snug fit. I was about to complain Carter's making tight clothes, but i get it now lol.

We are transitioning out of sleep sacks, as now she likes to kick we legs around while she sleeps. That started happening at 6.5months. We have a mix of sleepers, and two pieces.

@dc yoga bee: the snug fit is because of the dumb US regulations about pjs and fire safety. They either have to be snug fit or treated with chemicals. I am pretty sure all the sleepers are treated, so they don't have to be tight.

@ShootingStar: LO has super sensitive skin. She gets stubborn diaper rash very easily. Much cheaper for us to change her than prescription diaper rash cream .

@sorrycharlie: How would two piece pjs work with a baby?? Wouldn't the shirt get all bunched up overnight and leave their belly exposed?

We have been in 2t two pics pjs from old navy since lo was 6 months. They were looking on him but fit his cloth diaper butt... And one size is going to last us all winter.

B is almost 2, and we just switched a few weeks ago. I didn't want to, but his toes were bunched up against the end of the feet in the sleepers, and the next size up was enormous on him. I worry about his toes being cold in the night but he sleeps in a sleep sack and seems to be ok.

Just curious why do you want to.switch? (Aside from hot weather?) My 3 year old still mostly uses footed sleepers in the winter. We have a few 2 pieces but he only chooses to wear them if all his 1 pieces are in the laundry. Both my kids hate having bare feet to sleep and always wake up screaming when inevitably a sock falls off motn. We do shorts or light pants and t shirt or onsies in the summer and lose a lot of.sleep to the sock monster.

Around 2.5 when he started going potty at night.

DD is 7 months and we have a couple of 2-piece pjs but mostly still use footed sleepers.

I first bought a few sets when she moved into 18 month sizing. She looks so cute in the 2-pieces and the Burt's Bees Baby ones are SO SOFT!

At 12 months, we used both, but more 2pcs. By 18 months, we were strictly in 2 pcs. He didn't like his feet contained in the footed pjs.
