DS1 - five months

DS2 is six months now but we haven't made the switch yet

My big girl made the switch at 7-8 months, my little guy at three weeks

About 9/10 months for both of my boys. They were freaking heavy.

@MrsBrewer: Both were about 21.5 lbs at 9 months. To be fair, I switched both in the Spring/Summer. Not sure if I would have in the middle of Winter.

Ummm...around 18mo or so. They're twins so they're small and didn't outgrow them height wise until then. The infant seat was so easy to get them in & out so I wasn't in a hurry until they outgrew them.

16 mos. He's a preemie, so he was a peanut. I finally got tired of lugging the car seat weight + him on my arm along with my work bag + diaper bag. It became easier to carry just him, or let him walk and hold my hand from the car to the house.

LO was 15 mos last week...and I'm still using a bucket in my car (she has a convertible in DH's). I just check again, and she's still well within the height/weight guidelines. LO's a tiny gal!

7 months, he seemed so uncomfortable in it at the time and my arms were breaking from how heavy he felt in the car seat. The convertible was much better for him but i really missed the convenience of carrying out a sleeping baby in the car seat still asleep! that would be so amazing right now bc he is such a crappy napper but sleeps great every time he is in the car.

Around 1 year, I believe. She was close to the height limit at that point.

We didn't retire the infant bucket seat until 14 months!

Around 9 months I believe, he was too close to the height limit at 30". I think we were good on weight at 20 lbs but he was sooo heavy in the car seat I had to quit carrying it anyways.
The car seat naps were nice though!

We changed super early at 4 months. We went on a trip to FL where we were driving around a lot and he spent most of the time screaming in the car. I had to sit in the back the entire time with him. When we got home we decided to try out the convertibles, and he was much happier.

Just before her first birthday, but at that point we hadn't really been taking it out of the car for months.

9 months. LO hit the height restriction at that point. I wish we could have used it longer, even thought it got heavy I still found it more convenient. LO was a long skinny baby.

Around 7 months, although DD was no where near maxing out the height or weight limits. She hated the infant seat and we were hoping it would help (it did!).

I'll probably switch DS as soon as he sits up well himself. I already leave the bucket in the car because those things are dang heavy!!

We just switched last month. We bought the convertible early because of holiday sales. We loved the bucket seat for all those reasons but tried out the convertible to see if he would cry less in the car...and he does!! We still use the bucket in his stroller though because it keeps him warmer outside.

Right around 10 months and 19 lbs. She had gotten too heavy for the bucket seat but we waited for Memorial Day sales.

We switched just after 6 months. DD was already over 20 lbs and it was just so heavy to carry her anywhere in the infant bucket. We were also going on a really long road trip and figured she would be more comfortable in the convertible seat.
