My kids are 2.5 years apart and I would say in the last few months they've started playing together a little better. The youngest is 17m so there's still a bit of drama but we get some 5-10 min quiet spurts. But they still fight a lot!!

We're in a good place now. Almost 3.5 and 16 months.
I still have to supervise but there are way less battles and DD1 is incorporating DD2 into her activities.

Mine are 3 years apart. They started playing together when LO2 was around 17-18 months.

They already play together pretty well, although since mine are only 9 months and a few months shy of 3, the playing together more closely resembles LO1 "teaching" LO2 stuff, or LO 1 building blocks while LO2 chews a few of them.
Maybe it's more accurate to say they entertain each other for a while at this point. Most mornings, they entertain each other while we get ready for work, and I usually get 20-30 minutes in the evenings while I cook dinner.

My kids are 19 months apart. I'd say they started playing together well about 2 months ago. So just under 2.5 and 10 months old. They still fight a little but it's usually due to baby sister not quite understanding play in the same way my 2 year old does.

My twins are 2 and they played better together when they were a little younger. Just recently they started to get particular about things - like DS will set up his train tracks just so and then DD will come over and start moving things so DS will get upset. But they've also started to understand taking turns and playing pretend together so when they aren't fighting they are really playing *together* for the first time.
