Charlie is so loving lately, it's made me a little sad realizing that he won't always love me this much.
At what age do you think kids start pulling back on openly demonstrating their love for their parents?

My niece is 6, and she's got a pretty sassy attitude towards her dad. But I'm pretty sure that comes from her mother...... Hopefully LO will see us be loving towards our parents and to each other and will stay loving towards us a little longer.

I think kids will love parents THE most when they're adults!
I think at that point they are mature enough to really "Love" and understand everything the parents did for them.
The first time our kids tell me they hate me I will literally cry for days. I told my husband that already!!! I'm dreading that happening during their teenage years.

@regberadaisy: ha ha, Charlie already told me that he doesn't like me. And when I don't give him what he wants, he says he wants his mommy!

@mrbee: awwww he's so young I'm sure he doesn't mean it!!!
I dread the scenes you see in movies where the teenager is screaming at the top of their lungs with all their gumption "I HATE YOU!!!! you ruined my life!"
Sigh. I'll cry and they might get a smack from my husband.
