I'm hoping to get a few months of use (or more) out of our Moby because I'm loving it! DD is only 5 weeks but is kind of on the bigger side at 11 lbs, so I'm worried she will quickly be too heavy.
Bonus Question: Was anyone able to successfully nurse a newborn in a Moby??

15 pounds was our absolute max, but it stared getting uncomfortable around 12. 
We started using the ergo and woven wrap after that.
And yes! I nursed in the moby, ergo, and woven.

15lbs. I wore her in the Ergo after that. And 15lbs came quick for us. She was like 3 months old.

@Arden: Noooo, I only have less than a pound before it will start to be uncomfortable? So sad! 
I JUST mastered using it! Can a woven wrap be tied in the same way the Moby is, or is it completely different?
@loveisstrange: I think I recall your LO was over 10 lbs as well at birth so I think we will be approaching 15 lbs quickly too, thanks for your input!

I actually never found it uncomfortable and wore him in it until about 20 lbs. It was at that weight that the jersey material would quickly sag and not support him.

@jmarionsmith: Yes a woven wrap can be tied the same way, but you have to tie around baby instead of tying first and putting baby in - since it doesn't stretch. If you like the moby and managed to get through it's learning curve, you'll love a woven wrap once you get through the original overwhelm. It's so versatile, and I think a lot more comfortable for long wear than a moby.
The first tie you learn with a woven wrap is a fwcc, which is just like the moby.

But there are unlimited ways to wear a woven wrap so you can experiment to find something comfortable and easy for you.

@jmarionsmith: A woven wrap has lots of the same carries as a Moby, and some of them can be pre-tied like the Moby! Pocket wrap cross carry, front cross carry, etc. They are known as "poppable" carries. You just pop the baby in and adjust. I'd be happy to help if you decide to get one

Around 12 lbs (4 months) we moved to the Ergo from the Moby. I threw my DD in it last week though at about 15 lbs. It was still usable, but not nearly as secure as I would have liked.

I wore LO in our moby until he was about 3 months old I think? He was probably about 12 lbs. I could have probably worn him longer though.

We retired it around two months. She was 14 pounds. It just stretched out too far.

@hilsy85: Solly is a stretchy wrap like the moby or the boba. If you are looking for a woven wrap let me know and I can recommend a few brands (or Boheme probably has a lot of resources too).

@Arden: ah ok...I wanted to get a solly for this time around, since I love the colors, but no point in getting one if it's the same as a moby (which I already have...). I may ask about woven wraps later!

I can't remember weight but I kept baby #1 in moby til 10 months at least, probably about 20 pounds. Baby #2 is 9.5 months and 18+pounds and I still very comfortably wear him in my k'tan. I have an ergo as well, I just prefer the wraps. (note that I could only handle the bjorn to 14 pounds)

We switched to a Tula around 4 months (14 lbs). I freaking love our Tula.
I do want to try a ring sling or woven wrap when I have another kiddo.

We still use it at 6 months, but LO is on the smaller side (she is 15 lbs now). It is still snug, but it hurts my back a bit more than I'd like. I'm in the market for a woven but will hopefully be able to use the Moby until I can get it.
