Attachment to baby item while TTC?

While TTC, baby item stalking seems to be a pretty common practice. Did you become attached to any baby related item while TTC? Whether an outfit, a stroller, or a piece of nursery decor that you knew you HAD to have once you got pregnant?

I have no idea why, but I'm obsessed with this crib... I neeeeed this crib. I cannot picture us ever having a baby in a crib other than this crib. It's not even the most amazing crib ever, but we've been trying for a while and I guess I've had time to fantasize about our someday baby and our someday baby needs this crib!

I was/am obsessed with fancy pants strollers!! Now that a LO is on the way I have both a BOB and an UppaBaby Vista. Maybe I push them around my house sometimes.....

@MamaMoose: hahaha! I love it! Do you put anything in them, like a teddy bear, or a cat (I would totally put my cat in a stroller!!) when you might possibly be pushing them around the house?

@MamaMoose: YES! I'm not the only one! haha I have pushed my stroller around the house too! Also, when I first got that and my car seat I put my car seat in my car with a very realy looking doll I have and went to work. I obviously left it in my car while working (I was going to show one of my friends on my lunch!) well one of my bosses came in freaking out because she thought it was a real baby! It was absolutely hilarious!

@mrs. bird: I was like that! I went step by step researching all the different types of gear! We actually bought our crib, dresser, stroller and car seat before we were pregnant...yeah I'd say I was a little obsessed!

I was on a mission to buy Little Golden Books. It's somewhat hard to find the classics in our small town so everywhere we went I made sure to look.

@mrs. bird: The crib and the dresser was more so I couldn't wait and fell in love...the stroller/car seat I did save some money on!

I may or may not be crazy enough that I created an amazon registry using an old email account that I've slowly added things I like or have heard about so that I don't forget about them when we do finally get pregnant. Shame spiral.

I have a crib picked out as well, and I will not get a different one. If it goes on sale before i'm pregnant, i'm buying it

I like PP idea of an amazon account! I ALWAYS find stuff on Amazon I want and have to bookmark it instead haha

I already know what crib I want and what cloth diapers I'd like to buy. I even located the cloth diaper store in my city and have been tempted to go browse.

@Leialou: I know which cloth diapers I wanna try too! But I'm not attached to them like I am with the crib. I think I like flip diapers, but I don't have my heart set in them:) the crib in the other hand... Well I need to have it, it's not optional lol

I'm obsessed with the Britax B-Ready and the Chaperone car seat in "cowmooflage". I just love the cow print, it's so adorable. I had to restrain myself from actually buying it because they've been running their "free ride" event, where I'd be able to get the car seat for free. I have to keep reminding myself the sale will probably run at least once, if not twice, when I'm actually pregnant. Or someone might want to buy it for us.

@MamaMoose: I was also obsessed with strollers! I had it narrowed down to the bugaboo or the uppa baby way before we got pregnant I don't know why, but I was fixated on the stroller.

@hilsy85: I think it's New York that does it to you! I used to live in Manhattan and then Hoboken. And I would drool over the fancy strollers. Hoboken is the worst. Every Satruday and Sunday at brunch it's like a fancy stroller parade!!

Before being pregnant I didn't have a baby item, but a baby name! I was constantly looking for the perfect name combo for a boy and girl.

While ttc'ing, I became obsessed with the Bugaboo Frog. I saw it on totsy.com one day for almost half off and pulled the trigger. It took like 8 weeks to be shipped to me but I didn't really care since I didn't have a baby yet.

I still love that stroller, I don't care how much it cost!
