I jumped in too soon thinking that I was on CD1 last week but I guess it was just some implantation bleeding. POAS on 08.02 and it's a BFP!
Both DH and I are a little bit in shock because it was our first month trying but hoping for a sticky baby #2.

@MrsDragon and @MrsSpoon - congratulations!! It's looking like April is a good month for babies
Also thanks to everyone who welcomed me here, looking forward to seeing everyone get BFPs! As I expected, I couldn't wait to test.. And got my own BFP! I don't think it's sunk in yet but I'm so excited - now just hoping it sticks!

@TrailRunner: I feel normal... same as every month. I'm cramping right now, have been for a few days but I dont think that means anything.
With my birthday and some family events there has been a lot of drinking going on which I'm not used to so that could have me feeling weird too.
I would be very surprised if I got a BFP this month, but it would be very welcomed!

Last two periods have been wacky. Last one was short at 22 days and before that was late at 33. My average use to be 28. So when should I consider myself late this time?! One period tracker says I'm late now and the other says I have 5 days. What do y'all think?

@jh524: Hard to tell, I like to default to my 'average' cycle length. I would test in a few days if AF doesn't show up.
Goodluck!!

Well my AF that came 4 days early was super heavy and only last 2 days before tapering off to spotting and then nothing on day 4. Now one app says I should ovulate between 10-13 and the other says 12-16. I'm going to start trying to track my temp this cycle. My CM I monitor after wiping. Anything else I need to know about temp and CM tracking? I tried ovu test strips but I never caught my happy face. I guess I could be more consistent with that too? Thanks in advance for the help everyone!!
*Update- after running 6 miles this morning, AF is back. Oh the joys of being a woman.. Good grief!

Thanks everyone!
@jstalter I found temping to be the most helpful thing. My first cycle off of birth control looked textbook, so no issues there. But then my second cycle (this one) I ovulated really late, like CD24 late. If I hadn't been temping I might decreased the frequency of BD and missed ovulation altogether!

@WinterBee: hmm if I average it, it tells me I'm late and if I default it says I have 5 days to late.
Maybe I'll start temping like @rinna9: Seems like a great way to see when you ovulate. I only used Opks once and it just wasn't for me.
@jstalter: good luck!!

@rinna9: thank you!!! I think that's what is happening to me.. Missing ovulation entirely. Going to try temping this month with the Fertility Friend app. Did you use a reg thermometer or buy a special one? Thank you so much!

@jh524: good luck to you too!! Let me know how the temping works for you! Going to go try and learn a little more about it.

@jstalter I just used a regular thermometer I'd had forever. If you're temping in Celsius I think it needs to be a thermometer that can measure up to 2 decimal places, but for farenheit you can see the temperature spike post-ovulation with just 1 decimal place. I used fertility friend because it has great science behind it, but I loved the Kindara chart and so I used that one as well. They also have a great community that can help interpret anything going on with your chart!

@jstalter: me too. Well I've gotten the bug to POAS so went and bought my frer's today!!! Agh I'm so tempted!!
I mean, if it says 6 days sooner than your missed period than according to frer I should get a early response. Lol. Anyone else excited to POAS??!!

Congrats to the BFP's!
AFM: CD32 here. Not sure if I should go ahead and test tomorrow or wait a week. 1st cycle off BC was 42 days. 2nd was 32. Does anyone else have cycles that go back and forth? I don't know what to expect and I don't want to 'waste' another test...
persimmon / 1071 posts
@JennyLayneAZ: I'm in the same spot as you. I typically have a 31 day cycle, bit they've been 32 days and 37 days the last 2 months. My app says AF tomorrow (hopefully not as I'm going camping, but I'm def cramping now, ugh).
If I were you I would wait (I am too), saves the test money and won't change the result.
Good luck!

@JennyLayneAZ: same here, my cycles use to be 28 days but the last two were weird. Not sue what to expect this time. Good luck to you though!!!
@WinterBee: I'm tempted to test but trying to wait. I has baaaad cramps in the middle of the night and they hurt enough to wake me up. Still feeling cramps today. Is cramping a good sign?
kiwi / 585 posts
@jstalter: sorry about AF I would def temp. I use a special thermometer I got off amazon. Since I wake up super early for work some days and you when to temp at the same time I got one that stores it so I don't have to use my brain on mornings I temp and go back to sleep. Since you keep missing your smile on the OPKs I would get strips that show your progression up to O so you have a better idea. Good luck! I learned a lot the past couple of months so if you have any questions let me know!

@Mrs Spoon: @rinna9: congrats!
@WinterBee: I'm bummed you are having AF symptoms. Keep me updated.

Cycle Day: 29
TTC Cycle #: lost count
Ovulation: 7/24
POAS dates: 8/3 8/7
Baby #: 1st
Your plan this month: Technically my plan was for July; we used Advanced OPK and BD once I had a peak response, which was the day before I ovulated (confirmed by OPK). I tested 2 days before my period was due (not pregnant) and then again two days after I was officially "late."
For Fun: Spa day tomorrow!

I am new to posting on the site, but lurk a lot! FI and I are on our first cycle TTC! I have 2 children from a past realationship, but this will be FIs first
I had a positive OPK on the evening of CD 12, we BD CD13 and 14. I have a 28 day cycle, so hopefully we caught O! FI works away at times, so it makes timing hard!
I am 6dpo, noting all my possible symptoms! I will POAS maybe 12dpo? August 12 if I can hold out!!!!
