August POAS

@psw27: No, sorry I meant next Monday. I ovulate way early which is why I think I've missed the window every single month for the last year! Just started tracking CM & CP which has been enlightening, to say the least.

@bizwitch: ohhh... well, just see how you feel by then. I'm not great with BFNs, I get really discouraged!

Pretty sure I'm out. BFN at 10dpo - AF due Friday. I know there's still a chance but I had a pretty obvious line at 8dpo with DD... Good luck to those still waiting to test!

@peachykeen: hang in there! I didn't get lines as early this time as I did with DS!

@psw27: Thanks - I know you're right. This is the first cycle I felt really confident about that I really thought I'd have a by now. Conceiving DD was so much easier!

So I think I O'd 2 days earlier than my chart suggests. Could I have had an implantation dip already?!

  7. Banana330

    nectarine / 2317 posts

@MrsBrewer: A 4 dpo temp dip is apparently a secondary estrogen surge. Quite common.

@Banana330: I had no idea! I've been out of the charting game for awhile.

    Thanks!

5 days from when AF is due and I'm symptom spotting like crazy the last couple of days (sore breasts, tightness in abdomen, fatigue) and jonesing to POAS! Help me stay strong! I don't wanna waste money if she comes on Monday.

I can't even tell when/if I ovulated this cycle - my chart is a mess this month - so I don't know how many dpo I am.

Friday was a questionable temp because I got up at 3:30am for work. Saturday I temped at a normal time, then wasn't able to on Sunday because of a crazy weekend (24 hour scavenger hunt - fun and exhausting!), and forgot to temp on Monday. Back to temping at normal time yesterday and clearly I've seen a temp rise. But I don't really know when I O'd.

Also confused because temps were high-ish during the first few days of my cycle - I guess that is not unusual though according to "Taking Charge of Your Fertility."

If I don't get a BFP this month I really need to focus on taking temp at the exact same time so I'm not so confused by my chart. The times range from 6:30am to 8am, which is probably what's making it hard to understand.

@MrsBrewer: I had to google it previously.

@bizwitch: Stay strong!! I'm horrible at reading charts, that's kind of why i rely on the cross hairs. I definitely struggles with taking my temp too, and I will generally take it in a 1-2 hour window between 5-7am every day. I read that it's just important that you have a few hours of uninterrupted sleep before you temp too.

Giiiirls I'm totally kicking myself. The idiot that I am bought a Clearblue brand test at Target yesterday!!! Ugh!!! Why wasn't I thinking that the blue dye tests suuuuck! Well it was a 2 pack, 1 regular test and 1 digital. Maybe I will just keep using my cheap ones to see if I get any kind of line, and if I do, maybe then I will try the clearblue....ugh I just don't want to get one that I'm not sure about!

  15. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@mrsbrewer: what are the "cheap" ones? And/or best to use? I've used target brand blue dye in the past.

  16. MrsBrewer

    coconut / 8854 posts

@bizwitch: Well I have these at home that I use.

    https://www.amazon.com/ClinicalGuard%C2%AE-Pregnancy-Test-Strips-Individually-Sealed/dp/B007VT2OQG/ref=sr_1_6_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1471469190&sr=8-6&keywords=pregnancy+test

They are super cheap, and generally pretty accurate. Buuuuttt I still like having the actual pregnancy test as a verify. But when I test with the cheap ones, I don't feel as guilty testing waaaaaay to early

@MrsBrewer: ugh I hate those tests.

@bizwitch: I use the dollar store OPK's and pregnancy tests.

I got my period this morning.. never thought i'd be happy about that but at least it was only a week late!

Tested yesterday and this morning and got negatives. So I am thinking I'm out this month.

@MrsBrewer: I do the same. Buy lots of super cheap on Amazon then wait for a sale on the ClearBlue. So I hit up Target this week as well! I already had AF though so I'm prepping for September 12.

  22. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@MrsBrewer: I ordered a pack of those you linked to... supposed to arrive Monday, same day as AF, so if she comes I'll save for next month. If positive then I have lots of extras... totally worth the 7 bucks.

  23. MrsBrewer

    coconut / 8854 posts

@bizwitch: That's what I figured too!! For $7 bucks you can't go wrong. Since they are so tiny though, I can never pee on them, so I pee in a little plastic cup and dip it in.

@MrsBrewer: All I know is I have been exhausted as can be and this never usually happens before my period. Last night I went to bed at 8pm and didn't get up til 7:15! If they come early I probably won't be able to resist testing...

Is it too late to join the party? I plan on testing on the 22nd, that's when my period is due but I am sick of keeping this to myself because I am getting more and more convinced that I may be preggo... but it could be just me going crazy lol.

  26. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@cyndistar3: Never too late! I might test on Monday too, but I'm trying to hold off until Tuesday. AF due Monday.

    @littleblessings: thank you!

Does anyone else give in to the temptation of peeing on a stick even though you know it's going to be negative? Lol I'm awful at this whole being patient thing...

  35. littleblessings

    pear / 1739 posts

@cyndistar3: I bought a ton of cheapies off Amazon. Testing with those daily was better than using FRERs and made me feel a lot less guilty. I took them even when I knew they would be negative

  36. cyndistar3

    pomegranate / 3980 posts

@littleblessings: I ran out of those a few months ago and never ordered more. I went and got one of the 88 cent ones from Walmart because I just couldn't help myself, then spent forever obsessing over it even though it's obviously stark white lol

  37. littleblessings

    pear / 1739 posts

@cyndistar3: maybe in a few more days

  38. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@littleblessings: Yes go ahead and change mine to 8/23.

My cycles had been 26 days for about a year now, then I had a 30-day cycle randomly (maybe delayed O bc of travel?). So I thought maybe I'd be able to wait until Friday to POAS but who am I kidding... I don't have that kind of self-control.

Assuming I'm back on a 26 day cycle, AF should come Monday. If she doesn't, I'll POAS Tuesday.

I have a really good feeling this month! Trying to find the balance between thinking positively and getting my hopes up.

Uh, guys? Take a look at this and tell me your thoughts. Both DH and I saw a shadow of a line.

AF is expected today and continued negative tests, but my temp actually went UP today instead of down... Which is confusing and I really just want AF to show so I can start on next month...

Given that I O'ed on 8/6 (confirmed with OPKs and temp) I don't think there's any chance implantation could be this late... right?
