@AmeliaBedilia: great news about your follies today! I have my Fx for you this month. I hope this IUI is all it takes.
@KrzyRiver: I'm stalking your chart! Did your temp stay up today? Looking good so far!
6dpo here and trying to force myself to not test until Friday at 10dpo. We shall see if that happens. I'm trying really hard not to symptom spot this month as well.
Good luck to all the ladies testing this week. There are a few of us!

@delight: I've been symptom spotting all weekend! it's awful. I tell myself to stop but I cant.

@KittySunshine: Punta Cana sounds like an awesome trip. Have lots of fun. If I don't get my BFP this cycle, I may need to step back a little and relax. I've been so tense.

@AmeliaBedilia: What CD are you? That is a great response to the medication! I had to do more than one ultrasound and the fact that you have 3 possible follicles is really good (I only had one)! I hope that this is it for you and will be thinking of you this week as you trigger and have the IUI.
Just a head up, but you might start to become uncomfortable in the coming days. On my first medicated cycle for an IUI, I was super uncomfortable the day that I triggered and up through the IUI.
Did they give you an idea of when you can DTD too? We could do it the night of the trigger, but then not again until after the IUI...

@LoveHope: Do you have any symptoms to spot?! Do tell! How many DPO are you?

So, I'm 12 days past IUI and I cannot get the guts to test! I had so much cramping for the week after the IUI, that I'm very hopeful it was implantation. I've also been super tired the past two days and even took a nap yesterday and went to bed early. I think that this point, I'm so used to 2 years of disappointing tests that I'm scared to do it and have the same result I'll try to test tomorrow if AF doesn't show..

@NorthStar: CD9. I have two follicles, not three. When I asked about twins, he said typically the dominant follicle takes over and would likely only ovulate one. Thanks for the heads up on discomfort. RE said abstain 24-72 hours, so the plan is to BD Wednesday and skip Thursday. I'm debating on having AM BD Wednesday morning instead of in the evening. Thoughts?

@delight: I decided at last minute to stay at my parents house last night, so I didn't have my thermometer with me. It really killed me to not have it! Lol. My temperature has bounced up and down so much this cycle that it's driving me insane.
@LoveHope: I've been really bad about symptom spotting too. And it's making it really hard to wait to take a test.

@AmeliaBedilia: Your DH's numbers are normal, right? I know that they've fluctuated and have improved. What time is your IUI on Friday? If it's in the morning and if your husband's numbers are on the low end, I'd err on the side of caution and do Wed morning. If they are ok, I would think that you would be find DTD Wednesday night (no matter what time your IUI is scheduled for).
My DH's numbers are very good and they wanted about 36 hours in between the last time we DTD and the IUI, if that helps your decision any.

@NorthStar: I'm 11 DPO today and had some back pain over the weekend with lots of indigestion but this could be AF coming soon. Only time will tell.

@NorthStar: I completely get you. I wanted to test but I can't seem to do it. I'm really rooting for you! Lots of positive vibes to you!

@NorthStar: So hopeful for you!
@KrzyRiver: oh the woes of thermometers- so annoying when you travel! DH and I went to Vegas last year and I had the thermometer on my nightstand. One of his friends visited our room and saw it and thankfully, I don't think he put two and two together, but I was mortified.
@NorthStar: his count, volume and motility are great. Morphology was 4% and went up to 5%. IUI is Friday at 7:00 (time DH gives sample). I have heard that morning counts can be a little higher.

@AmeliaBedilia: Thank you
With his numbers being good, I would DTD on Wednesday night and hope for the best!

@LoveHope: I'm definitely looking forward to Punta Cana with the girls, although I definitely see how traveling can add its own stress trying to temp like AmeliaBedilia and Krzyriver mentioned! Right now I'm like, am I going to be in the TWW, on my period or pregnant in the trip? Only time will tell!! How was Aruba? That sounds awesome too!
Fx for everyone and hoping to see some BFPs this week! I'm still waiting to O at cd 21 so I think it's going to be another late O month for me. It's so weird to be looking forward to a doctor appointment tomorrow but I'm hoping to get some answers. I was reading about pain levels for different diagnostic tests like SHG and HSG online yesterday and that wasn't very fun!
pear / 1770 posts
@KittySunshine: My SHG was really no biggie. It wasn't a *pleasant* experience, but definitely not painful, either. HSGs are supposed to be more uncomfortable, but I think (as with most things), the internet is full of horror stories.
kiwi / 689 posts
@KittySunshine: The HSG wasnt the worst experience for me. It wasn't painful-I just felt a lot of pressure but it doesn't last too long. I went back to work that afternoon and felt fine. I agree with Ms.Line that the Internet could really be full of horror stories.
apricot / 276 posts
@LoveHope: That's the bad part of symptom spotting. No way to know what's causing it until you either get that BFP or AF. I've had sore breasts and cramping. I don't usually have those before AF but I'm not assuming anything since I'm on Femara and my period was a little different last month because of it.
@AmeliaBedilia: I *almost* packed it, but I really don't want my mom to know anything until I'm about 12 weeks along. But it's driving me crazy! Lol. Crazy how something as simple as taking my temperature has become such a huge part of my daily routine.
pomelo / 5326 posts
Ahhhhh bbt temping. I keep an extra thermometer in the spare room cause I often end up in there due to DH's snoring. I also take my temp randomly throughout the day during the TWW to make sure it's still high. Obsessed.
nectarine / 2192 posts
I'm not temping this cycle- I figure the monitoring is enough. Unfortunately, I found out my old HSA has much less than I thought. Darn DH has had lots of medical bills and I didn't realize how much. I have one with my new job, so we will be going to that soon. DH is opening his own, and I'm putting in more next paycheck. My RE charges 800/cycle not including meds. If you buy two, get the third free. If the first IUI works, they refund the $800 after you graduate.

@ms.line: @LoveHope: I have such a love hate relationship with the internet! Good to hear your responses! So I'm not completely crazy or asking for a ton of guarenteed pain if I ask about these tests. I guess having a baby comes with its own share of pain, but that's for a much happier reason!
I had been saving up all my sick time at work thinking I'd use it on pregnancy related appointments so it's good to know how much I might need to use for fertility related appointments. Guess I can plan all I want but things will happen in their own time.

Cycle Day:
TTC Cycle #:
POAS date: 8/12
Baby #: 2
Your situation: Secondary infertility. Got preg with DD on 3rd try. Have been trying for #2 since July last year. Saw RE, ridiculously low AMH.
What's happening this cycle: Did a high dose gonal f injectable cycle. Had two follicles at 19 and 20 at trigger on Thursday. BD Wed night, IUI on Fri and Sat mornings. Really really want this to work - we've decided not to go forward with IVF.
Just for fun: Unfortunately, no vacation. And we need it. High temps this week don't go below 100.
Fingers crossed for everyone!

@LoveHope: I believe I will have a blood draw for a beta on 8/21, so you can add that, even though I probably won't POAS.
This was one of the first times I had good news at RE. I'm feeling oddly optimistic.

@KittySunshine: my HSG wasn't a big deal. The worst part was the speculum. I hate those things. The rest was just a little pressure and pinching but it really was minimal. It was nice to see the screen while they were doing it and see that there were no blockages.
pomelo / 5326 posts
@NorthStar: good luck tomorrow. I hope I see a positive post from you in the morning!
@BlueWolverine: welcome and best wishes for a successful IUI!!
olive / 50 posts
@2farmmoms: Thanks! Good to hear! The horror stories online talked about people being too distracted by the pain to see the screen. I agree with you, I definitely hate the speculum. I hate blood draws too but I knew I was ready to try for a baby once I was willing to consider the idea of going through a bunch of medical procedures.
I was kind of enjoying not having to go in for an annual appointment to get more birth control for a little while and I figured I'd just wait until I was pregnant to worry about an annual exam...until it stretched onward for months.

@delight: Thank you for the good wishes, but I tested last night on a cheapie/wondo and got a BFN. I'm assuming that AF will be showing today or tomorrow. I realize that it's better to test in the AM, but my urine was pretty concentrated, so I'm fairly positive with the result as I was 12DPO
pear / 1881 posts
@LoveHope: oh no! I don't have any symptoms that it's coming, but it was the same way last cycle too. My only hope is that I used a cheapie test and perhaps a First Response would have been a better choice. But, I'm done testing until at least Thursday..
kiwi / 689 posts
@NorthStar: ok -so there's still some hope
I just feel like I always feel when AF arrives... Who knows? I'm supposed to test tomorrow. I can already test today but I'm nervous. I'm really really hoping and praying for our BFP. When are you supposed to get AF?

@NorthStar: So sorry.
@LoveHope: sending good thoughts.
I haven't ovidrel injection tomorrow night. DH was supposed to go out with friends, but offered to skip it to do the injection. I'm gong to watch the video to see if I can do it. I'm also debating on when to BD with DH- tomorrow am or at night. IUI is Friday.
pear / 1881 posts
@LoveHope: My cycle was all wonky and I ovulated a week late, but I'm assuming 14 days past my IUI, which would be on Wednesday.
Yeah, it's so hard getting the courage to test. I'm now wishing that I wouldn't have as it completely ruined my night last night
kiwi / 689 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: thank you.
I'm not sure I'd be able to inject myself but anything is possible. It makes it easier when someone else does it.
@northstar I have a basket full of FR TESTS but I can't bring myself to use one
pear / 1881 posts
@LoveHope: Seriously, if it stresses you out to think about testing, then I wouldn't do it. After myself seeing 2 years of disappointing tests, I would wait until at least the day after you expect AF (if you are typically regular). That would be my suggestion, but I know how you feel. You want to know and at the same time, you don't want to know. {hugs}

I'm out and now onto cycle #3. We are going to do an injectable round with IUI, so I'm waiting to hear from the nurse/doctor regarding what medications I need so that I'm not ordering too much (i.e., not left with lots of leftovers). This is our last IUI before proceeding with IVF.
