@NorthStar: I'm so sorry. hugs Will this be the first time you do an injectable round with IUI?

  2. NorthStar

@LoveHope: yes, it will be, so I'm trying to quickly put together prices at a few places to see where I can get the meds the cheapest. It also appears that Gonal-F is much cheaper than Follistim, so I'm going to ask if I can choose which to do (since they are apparently basically the same drug).

    @NorthStar: I'm sorry that sucks.

I'm just hanging out, CD16... maybe having some ewcm, but I know better than to get my hopes up that I'd ovulate this early... we'll BD just in case of course.

I ordered wondfo opks from amazon and they should arrive today or tomorrow! I'm excited to try those, I figure it might help with my anxiety. This cycle I am particularly anxious to O so that I can do my 7dpo bloodwork and get things moving. Next cycle I'll be trying metformin

@NorthStar: It's bad enough to have to go through this and then to top it off the costs for these treatments are outrageous. Hang in there. It's tough. I'm thinking I'll be out soon too. AF will probably show up later today. I just have that guy feeling

  5. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@sslm: Using OPK's makes things a lot easier at least for me... No second guessing anything. I hope you O soon!

    pear / 1881 posts

@LoveHope: oh no yeah, I could feel it coming on later yesterday and woke up to full blown this morning. The meds are outrageous! I wish I had at least something covered, but unfortunately, I don't.

Take care of yourself! I'm going to allow myself some wine tonight, I think

  7. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@NorthStar: yes! Wine sounds great right about now. Take care of yourself too. Tomorrow's a new day

@NorthStar: sorry about AF. Take care of yourself.
@sslm: I use the wondfos and I find them super helpful. Hope O is just around the corner!
@LoveHope: are you still in? fX for you!

8dpo here and found a little pink spotting this morning. It could go either way. I have nice high temps this month but am feeling a bit crampy. I'll test Friday at 10dpo.

@NorthStar: Hugs! I found winfertility the cheapest for ovidrel- $76 instead of $100. They only do bundles (at least two meds), but I did mine with aspirin so it didn't add much. There is also a rebate on some of them. I think the name is "go directly to savings", so google that.

  10. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@delight: I'm still in as of now. Pink spotting at 8dpo is a great sign.

  11. NorthStar

    pear / 1881 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: Thanks! Yes, I've done the rebate for the Ovidrel, but through Freedom Pharmacy. It was only $10 more than what you paid, so wasn't too bad. I'm definitely checking them out once I hear back from the RE with the med list..

CD11 today, ovidrel trigger tonight and IUI Friday am. DH is concerned that BD today will decrease his count. RE said abstain for 2-3 days ideally, minimum of 24 hours. We will be about 60 hours. I have more cervical mucus than usual for day 11- could be the Cabergoline or the Femara (I've done 2.5mg for two cycles, but on 5mg now. I started the Cabergoline on CD7 last cycle, so this is my first full cycle on it.) I keep worrying about IVF and the cost. Insurance doesn't pay, and I've thought about changing insurance, but my only other option is an exchange plan, and my open enrollment at work is October, so I'm not sure I can switch.

I'm out. AF showed up a day earlier than I thought it would. It was one of those days where I ran around all day, had no idea it was coming, cramped for a minute, went into the bathroom to pee, and bam! The flood gates opened. Lol. Sorry, TMI. But it kind of made me laugh and I need to smile right now. Not sure if I'm going to try this cycle. I might take a month off and just relax.

  14. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@KrzyRiver: Hugs! And there really isn't TMI on this board.

I just did my ovidrel shot- it wasn't bad at all. DH had plans and was going to do it when he got home, but then RE said we needed to do it at 8:15. He offered to skip it, but that seemed silly. It was much easier than expected. Now it's time to pray that it works!

@KrzyRiver: sorry about AF. Do what you need to do if that means taking a month off to regroup. We definitely took it way easier this month and it was a nice break from the stress of TTC.
@AmeliaBedilia: wishing you lots of positive thoughts this week for your IUI!!

@KrzyRiver: Sorry about AF. Good for you for not letting it get you down. You deserve to do something nice for yourself. I agree with you if AF ends up showing up which im 99.9% sure she is tomorrow, then I may need a bit of a break. Hugs to you.

@AmeliaBedilia: @delight: @LoveHope: Thanks ladies. Hubby and I ran over to the liquor store and grabbed a couple bottles of wine. Then we had game night with his son. So they're keeping me in good spirits. Lol. But it'll be nice to just relax and have fun with hubby this coming month.

@AmeliaBedilia: Good luck! And props for doing it yourself. I couldn't. Lol. My brother-in-law is diabetic so he does it all the time. He gave it to me.

@LoveHope: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. *Hugs*

@NorthStar: Sorry and good luck with the next round and getting meds!

@KrzyRiver: Sorry about AF, but I love that you are keeping up a sense of humor! It's inspiring and I definitely can sympathize with taking a month off. I think I'm concerned about rushing into any big decisions at this point.

@sslm: I'm still hanging out here with you waiting on the O at CD 24! This may be my latest O month yet.

@AmeliaBedilia: Fx for you as well!!

I'm out this month ladies. AF showed up this morning
I'm going to take it day by day this upcoming cycle and not stress myself out like I did last cycle. I stressed my DH too last cycle and we fought a lot. This month im going to take it easy. Good luck to the rest of you ladies.

@LoveHope: sorry about AF August is not turning out to be awesome.

I think I'm right behind you. Still spotting and BFN at 9dpo. I was itching to test.

  28. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@delight: Some people get BFN's until after AF is due. Don't lose hope

Anyone get their Progesterone levels tested? That's a test that no one has bothered to have me tested for which im not understanding why. I called my dr's office yesterday to see if they could test me. I feel like I have some of the symptoms associated with low progesterone or maybe its all in my head. I'd rather test to factor it out. I could have estrogen dominance which I heard could be the cause of low progesterone. This is why I'm so glad to be on these boards bcause you end of learning so much from others.

  32. sslm

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

@LoveHope: have you done the CD21 bloodwork? I think they do progesterone then

  33. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@sslm: no, I've only done day 3 testing. They never mentioned cd21. This is so frustrating-we're supposed to trust these doctors.

  34. sslm

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

@LoveHope: that's so frustrating. I had to push my doctor to do CD3 because she said they usually only do that if they're worried about pre-menopause? So annoying

  35. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@sslm: Really? That's strange. They are so quick to start people on meds but they aren't offering to run all tests.

  36. AmeliaBedilia

IUI done- little cramping and DH was
Late to work, but otherwise went well. RE said he likes the post wash sperm count to be at least 15 million, and it was 85 million! I have to do an ovidrel shot Monday for implantation support so he pushed the beta test back to 8/24.

  37. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: that's great news! Lots of luck!

@AmeliaBedilia: yay! glad it went well! I'm also glad that the trigger shot wasn't too bad for you! I start injectibls tonight and am a bit nervous

@LoveHope: Yes, totally push for the progesterone test! It's super easy to do and is so worth it! Plus, if that is a factor in everything for you, there are easy solutions to help increase it.
