OK. My hcg is 42. On the lower side, but doc is not concerned. Said it's OK for where I am DPO. Re-test on Monday. She was very positive.

So, as I keep telling myself, today, everything is OK. Thanks for all of your support! It means a lot.

Going in for second beta tomorrow morning, and I'm feeling more confident this time. The lines on the FRERs are darker and coming up almost immediately. Very reassuring. Fingers crossed.

10dpIUI. My beta isn't for a week since RE thinks the ovidrel booster might gives false positive. AF is due Saturday, so I should already know by my beta. Smells are driving me crazy but that is likely from the ovidrel. I hate waiting!

@BlueWolverine: Thinking of your today, while you wait for your second beta!!

@AmeliaBedilia: Yeah, the Ovidrel will give a false positive since it has HCG in it, which is what makes a pregnancy test positive. If you have any Wondfos, you could test the trigger and watch it disappear and then hopefully, reappear!

I just had my third IUI and first using injectibles. My ultrasound on Saturday showed two great follicles - one at 18mm and one at 21mm. I sure hope that the third cycle is the charm!!

@AmeliaBedilia: Im really hoping this is your month!!!
@Northstar: I hope third time is a charm for you too!!!

My SIL and her baby are staying with us for a few days next week and I just realized it's during O. So awkward. She knows we are TTC so maybe I can drop some hints so she can go for some long walks and leave DH and I to ourselves for a bit

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@NorthStar: that sounds promising! If I test out the trigger, I think I will make myself crazy. I'm trying to just chill until Saturday when AF is due. The positives this cycle even if I'm not pregnant is that the Antral follicle count was better than he expected, I had a good response to Femara, DH had a great sample for IUI, and my progesterone was fantastic. I'm convinced I ovulated two eggs, so hopefully this is it. I've had more uterine cramping over the past few days than normal. Waiting is hard.

@AmeliaBedilia: It is really hard and I agree regarding going crazy testing the trigger. I am choosing not to do that either, as I just want to try to stay relaxed as possible. I'm sure that I ovulated 2 follicles as well and hope that this is it for both of us!!

Thanks everyone! Happy to have encouraging news. My HcG is 154! More than doubled! Things are looking good. I go back in for more testing next Monday. Low progesterone, but I'm being supplemented, so hopefully will be OK.

@NorthStar: 18 and 21 is great! Fingers crossed that this your cycle!

@AmeliaBedilia: I tested out the trigger, but that's because I knew I wouldn't make it without needing to test. I'm on progesterone, so my period wouldn't come until I stopped, so I couldn't even rely on not getting my period. It did drive me crazy, though. I admire you dedication to not!

well, 7dpo and despite my best intentions, the symptom spotting has began... I'm feeling slightly crampy and I am letting that get my hopes way up... ugh.

I am heading for my 7dpo bloodwork either today or tomorrow depending on how busy work gets

@sslm: As much as we try not to symptom spot, we end up doing it. Hang in there. Positive thoughts!

My lab results came in this morning. Prolactin is 10.2 which I believe is normal and progesterone which was tested day 5 of my cycle was .5 which is within normal range for the follicular phase. I wanted my progesterone tested post ovulation which im demanding them do next week post ovulation. It just aggravates me that they did the opposite of what I asked them to do. I'm waiting to hear back from the doctor.

@LoveHope: I sure hope they listen and let you do the progesterone test post ovulation. It has always stumped me why doctors won't do a simple blood test when you are willing to pay for it?! Hopefully, your progesterone is completely normal, but you won't know until you test. Good luck!

@sslm: I get you on the symptom spotting! Just hold on for a few more days and then you will know for sure!

I started prometrium this morning and it's my first time taking progesterone vaginally. This should be interesting...I thought that I read somewhere that my period won't show until I stop the pills (unless, of course, if I'm preggo). Does anyone know if this is true?

  30. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@NorthStar: When I did progesterone, my temp would often drop toward the end, but I had to POas and it would start 1-3 days later.

I went for my bloodwork and my doctor called to set up an appointment to discuss already! It's not until Sept 1st, but I called back today and she has some same day appointments, I'll hopefully be able to see her tomorrow or Friday!

    How's everyone doing today?

  32. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@sslm: That's wonderful. It's always best meeting them face to face when discussing results.
I'm testing my progesterone again next week to see if it's where it should be. If that's normal then I'll have to decide what my next step will be. This is exhausting!

I'm 12dpIUI and feeling anxious about finding out. AF due Saturday, beta Monday. I have my hopes up and need to figure out a way to keep them low without feeling hopeless, if that makes sense. I had some mild uterine cramping 8-10 days post IUI, and everything went well this cycle- two follicles, great number for SA IUI and awesome progesterone. It's hard not to get my hopes up!

  34. sslm

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

@LoveHope: I'm in Canada too, so we don't get to see results online or anything like that! So I really have no idea what she's going to have to say.

    @AmeliaBedilia: it's soooo hard.

  35. NorthStar

    pear / 1881 posts

@sslm: yay! That's awesome! Hope you can get in there soon..

@LoveHope: Yes, this whole process is completely exhausting! When are you expecting to ovulate?

@AmeliaBedilia: Hang in there and we are rooting for you! Try to keep the positive thoughts going and if this IUI doesn't work, don't get too discouraged. Many times, it takes more than one IUI, but hopefully, this is it for you!

  36. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Keep positive.

@SSLM: I've only recently began getting my results online but I still feel more comfortable speaking with my doctor. The good thing is there's so much information online regarding all of this so im glad I have access to the results. Good luck with your appointment.

@Northstar: I'm supposed to be ovulating tomorrow so I've been covering all my bases Only time will tell now.

@delight: That's bad timing for your house guests! Just say you need to fold clothes real quick in your bedroom room while husband is in the shower. Shower water can drown out a lot of sound. Good luck!

@BlueWolverine: yeah for great betas! Such wonderful news!
@AmeliaBedilia: Hope you're hanging in there!
@sslm: good luck this month! It's so hard not to symptom spot. I hope those cramps were a great sign. I'm in Canada too
@agold: haha good suggestion! I have a two year old too that needs to fit in the equation. Don't think I can bring her in the shower too Usually we resort to nap time romps. I'm just hoping we are able to get in at least one chance with our house guests around. We may need to get creative. My mom is away for a few days so maybe we have to go to her place to pick up her mail....

@AmeliaBedilia: how are you feeling today?

  40. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@LoveHope: 13 days post IUI. Nervous! Mild uterine cramping. Slightly less cervical mucus but my progesterone was so high that might not be a problem. Has anyone had cervical mucus decrease and still be pregnant? My hopes are so high I'm afraid of disappointment again. This cycle has been really rough with the meds and I really don't want to have to do it again. I keep reminding myself of all the good things if I'm not pregnant- like white water rafting trip, cheaper medical care due to when the deductible falls, and a conference that would be while I am nine weeks pregnant (likely bad nausea). Thanks for asking!
