Every time I text my sister I get a message back saying I am driving will respond when I can safely. So annoying! Why do I need an automatic text?

I have my phone set up to send them when I'm driving and my phone also reads the text to me so I don't have to look at it. She may not know she has that auto message on, though!

DH auto sends me a text when he gets to our neighborhood. I auto send him a text reminding him to turn off auto texts to me.

I have some colleagues who use it. I can tell when my best friend uses the text assistance option. The grammar and run on sentences are really bad but it's safer than her texting so I don't mind.

If she wasn't near her phone/busy when you texted, you would just wait for a response...I don't see why just having the person wait for ypu to respond properly & when you aren't driving is any different. I'd find it mildly annoying too

I guess she's always driving when you text lol? Either that or she has auto notifications on and forgot to turn them off.
They don't bother me. Some people get annoyed at me if I don't respond to a text immediately, so I can see how this would be an easy (and safe) way to let someone know you'll respond back later when you're not preoccupied.
