Only my dad knows how to text, we text each other quite often! I send him pictures of our pup because he always asks about him, and he loves it!

My parents turned off texting and yell at us if we send them texts or pictures because they get charged for it! Haha.

My MIL texts like crazy. She'll send me huge long texts copying passages straight from the bible, and she knows how to insert these little colored emoticons. I have no idea how to do that. She and Wagon Sr. text pictures back and forth a LOT. Since she's always at clients' houses we text her before calling usually. She's good about texting back.

My dad can text but my mom doesn't. My MIL can text but she never had a text plan until recently. My FIL does text.

Nope. My MIL calls it sexting and I think she thinks that's all you do when you text.....

I think my FIL might text, but he doesn't text us, so I don't really know. My parents DEFINITELY don't text! They barely know how to use their cellphones.

Okay, this is totally random but my Mom sent me her first text today! Haha. She sent me a picture of my Dad at dinner - they're on the waterfront at Hilton Head Island. I think she was trying to make me jealous.

My dad started texting when he got a smartphone. My mom and IL's don't have texting on their plans, but I don't think they would use it if they did.

Lol, my dad is not a good texter, but he loves to do it. He'll text the most random things, and they're always spelled wrong. They always brighten up my day and make me laugh!

MY parents do not but my MIL just learned recently and she texts me constantly.

My dad doesn't text. My mom doesn't know how to text, except to send me pictures. Usually of her dogs. And her tomato plants.

Yep, my parents and IL's all have smartphones so we text a lot and share pics of LO all the time. Everyone except my MIL have blackberries so we BBM stuff back and forth quite a bit.

All of our 4 parents have basic flip phones and don't know how to text. I don't forsee that changing, ever, haha!

My in-laws text, but my parents have no idea how. I showed my mom how to text once...it took like 20 minutes and she texted my husband "hi, from jen" from my phone! she was so proud! My parents JUST got caller ID for the first time ever on their home phone, so they're a little behind the times.

They all do. For a while my dad sent all his texts as urgent, so we would all get an urgent message in our inbox and it would be something dumb like "scout (family cat) has a boil on his back". Oh parents!
