Booo I guess our 12 month vaccine didn't work. We woke up this morning with chicken pox! Just had a 2 am oatmeal bath where she giggled the whole time after crying since 8 pm. Kids are the weirdest. Anyone have any get to sleep suggestions? LO is 16 months and I'm still breastfeeding so I keep trying to lull her to sleep nursing but not working.

Oh no. Poor thing. That really sucks and is quite scary that it's still possible to get chicken pox after the vaccine. Would it help if you rocked her or maybe drove around the block?

@gracecat: I'm thankful that apparently if you have the Vaccine the symptoms are less severe.

@iluvboba637: I think today if she has trouble with a nap the car or stroller would be a great idea. Last night I probably would have fallen asleep driving around my one street town! Haha

@IcebergMom: hope she gets thru it quick! Well the chicken pox vaccine is a live vaccine (as is MMR) meaning they're given the live chickenpox virus. So of course there's a chance of getting the chickenpox virus from the vaccine, which sounds like what happened to your daughter.
