Does/did anyone have a baby that is constantly sick and can never quite get well? For the last 4 months, we've probably had maybe 4-5 weeks of healthy babies. They constantly have at least cold like symptoms, and when they get sick, they're down for the count. Case in point: we are about to start week 4 of being sick. They've attended daycare 3 1/2 days in the last 3 weeks and were sent home twice after beig there for 1/2 a day. We've gone to the doctor and called the doctor multiple times and he thought it was just a really long virus that turned into infections. But they've been on antibiotics for several days and still aren't themselves. I just don't know what to think or do at this point. I get that during babies' first year in daycare there will be more sickness, but they just never seem to be able to stay healthy. I could only partially BF for 3 months, so they don't get any immunity from me, which makes me feel even worse. I can't help but wander if something is going on that's making them have a compromised immune system or are they just unlucky or is this more normal than I think??? We can't afford a nanny, but I'm almost at the point of thinking I need to find an in-home daycare so they're exposed to less kids or something. I just am worried about them, stressed out about all the missed work, and at a loss of what could be going on and what to do.
Did anyone have a baby that was sick constantly? Did they just have to grow out of it or did you make changes/find out something that made a difference?
It's hard to see your babies not well. If it makes you feel any better, I have two friends that have twins. Both SAHMs and one EBF. Their kids are sick ALL the time! What you're describing is their life. So, it's definitely nothing you've done wrong. I think siblings are just extra good at passing germs back and forth over and over again
