Did you find the baby bargains book helpful?
I'm about a quarter of the way though and I'm feeling very overwhelmed (FTM) and not sure how much stock I should be putting in this book that was highly recommended to us.
How did you decide what to register for/ buy for the nursery? For those that used the book, did you stick with only A ratings?

Yep. I thought it was the best resource. I used Baby Bargains and a combination of Amazon reviews. I used it for the big items like our crib, stroller, car seat, and nursery furniture.

I loved it! I used the high and middle recommendations the most.

I loved the book, and I also loved the Lucie's List registry cheat sheet and emails.

I used it for all the big purchases. I brought it with me to BuyBuyBaby while I was registering. I tried to stick with A ratings when they were affordable but would also consider B+ when the other options were too expensive.

It's a great resource, but I also cross-checked with Amazon. I don't think I had a "rule" about registering for things that weren't as highly recommended, but did gravitate mostly toward things that were, anyway.

I used it in conjunction with Amazon like the ladies above. I also asked some girlfriends who recently had babies about certain products.

Hmmmm I judged it as being "old tech" and just used lucies list and here! Maybe my judgement was too harsh!

I bought a one month subscription and used that and Lucies List, together with amazon reviews (i registered on amazon). I found it very helpful! I tried to stick with A reviews, but occasionally went with lower reviews if they were highly recommended on Lucies List or Amazon.
