When did you start planning details for your religious ceremony for baby? Due date is March 17 and Baby Blessing will be May 4th. I just totally remembered that I actually need to feed the guests! We have a late church time too (1PM) so should I do brunch before or something after? Oh decisions decisions!!!!

We had her dedication at 6 months and just invited the pastor and his wife to join our family as a local restaurant. It was casual and low pressure.

We had her blessing at 7 months. We flew to my mom's to be with my friends and family, especially so that my grandma would be able to witness it.
The blessing was at a little chapel and the party was at my mom's house. Most of the food was catered, with some specialty dishes made by family.

75% of the grandparents live out of town and while they may meet our LO before his/ her first birthday I will not encourage them to all come at once. We will likely have the Baptism coincide with the baby's first birthday. Lunch will likely be served.
@anonysquire: If you hold a breakfast or brunch before the ceremony do you think you will be rushed/ late for the ceremony?

Her baptism was scheduled for last weekend . My mom and I planned and prepared brunch for 30 people... Then church was cancelled due to bad weather ! Luckily most people could still come to brunch. We rescheduled for next month so hopefully Mother Nature cooperates!
