My little man is crazy! And very active. From the minute he wakes up to the minute he goes to bed, he is non stop action. I was talking to a co worker and she said this was only the beginning when it comes to little boys. Do you think that little boys tend to be crazier (read: more active) than little girls?

Yes. In general, I do think that boys are much more active than girls.

Example: Typical morning at daycare: He gets himself out of his carseat, crawls over to bookcase pulls down a box of blocks, dumps it out, grabs block, goes crawling towards soft climber, climbs to top, smacks toy against it, rolls down the side, then crawls off to pull up on a walker and starts pushing that around the room. (FYI- B is almost 10 months)

My daughter was chill and a good baby too.. but she's a wild one now! -

I dunno p is super chill. He's content just sitting and playing with his toys and observing ppl ( he's so nosy!) Hes 8 months and isnt very mobile and shows no interest into getting into things yet...But he does love to be thrown around and rough housed.

My son is WILD. I really hope if I have a girl she is a little more chill.

My son was WILD from the moment he was born and still is at 4. My daughter is much more of a chill go with the flow baby. She is very content to just hang out with me while DS needed to be entertained at all times.

charlie was definitely waaaaay more rambunctious than olive who is super duper duper cautious. i'm sure she'll still be sleeping in her crib when she's 3 whereas charlie would have climbed out of his crib much earlier than he did if he weren't in his sleep sack.

I think boys are more active in general, but my LO is crazy active. But she's not active in a wild way. Just constantly busy and into something.

My baby girl is always on the move! She never sits still. She's always going, getting into things, etc.

Idk, both of my kids are very active. If anything, I actually think DD developed her gross motor skills a little more quickly and DS is a little more cautious. DD was climbing to the tops of jungle gyms before she was 2 (!) whereas DS took his first steps a month ago but still has to be pushed to walk independently (he wants me to hold his hand all the time). I'm still waiting for the "boy" mode to kick in with DS.

Nope I think it depends on the kid but that adults encourage and expect "drama" from girls and roughhousing from boys..so for many I think its just a self fulfilling prophecy! With that said I have a very active baby boy who loves rough and tumble (baby) games so who knows once he's older.

My son has been bonkers since he was in the womb.
He doesn't sit still all day and hates cuddling. He also has been WIDE AWAKE since 2 days old, no joke. He was never even a sleepy newborn.

@winniebee: B doesn't sit still either. B thinks it's his business to pull all the toys out of their bins every morning at daycare. I'm sure daycare loves him. LOL

@winniebee: I feel like I got totally gypped in the newborn phase! LO never was a "she will just sleep in the carseat" kid.

DS is 2 years 7 months and has boundless energy, and although he was a good baby he always was very active. DD on the other hand is 7 months old and so far she is waaaayyyyy more relaxed then DS ever was!
We shall see how it goes as they grow up though!

My son has always been pretty chill.

DS is a little more "go with the flow," which I attribute to the fact that he is the second child. BUT he is much more physical than DD was. He crawled sooner, he is into more things, he plays with more toys, and insists on going up the stairs CONSTANTLY.

My son is pretty chill for a boy (although he loves running around outside with his friends). But inside the house, he doesn't get into mischief. He's pretty well behaved for the most part. My DD is super wild and curious and mischievous. She already gets into trouble and she's only 8 months old!

My son is like yours. Always on the go and none stop action (even in his sleep sometimes haha). My friends daughter, who is 4 months younger, is super super chill in comparison. She always amazes me how quite and cautious she is!

Haha just yesterday at my ultrasound the tech said that girls seem to be calmer than boys. I have an almost 11 month old son and he is wild! Always has...even when I was pregnant he didn't stop moving. I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with a girl and so far she seems much calmer in-utero, so we'll see haha
