I'm looking at signing up for our community pool. They have parent/tot classes as well as a really good season pass rate. I'd love to be able to take DH and get him in the water, but he needs someone by his side for safety.
I was thinking maybe I could get a SSC for the water, but I can't seem to find one that looks appropriate. LO is already 30 lbs and wearing him in a sling does not feel comfortable. Any suggestions?

Connecta! They make this solar weave Connecta that's basically swim trunk material and can go in the water, super light weight, blocks UV, and come in toddler size. Tons of people have it in my local babywearing group, I'm really tempted to get one for ourselves this summer too!

When you're in the water, LO will be buoyant, so the 30 lbs won't be as heavy? I've only seen waterproof slings made of gym shorts material.

@HabesBabe: Good point, but I will also have to do some standing out of the water while DH gets in. I had a brain fart cause I was looking at a sling with a 30 lb weight limit, LO is actually only 24 lbs right now at 9.5 months.
