I'm looking into buying a baby carrier. My baby is only a month so im looking for something that can be used for at least a year. I'm wondering which have you purchased and/or prefer? Your opinions are greatly appreciated!

We have both the Ergo and the moby wrap, I love them both for different reasons. The moby is awesome to throw in the car or take along when I don't have much space, but for really long baby wearing stints, I find she tends to wiggle it loose after a while. The ergo is super comfy, and DH likes wearing it (he finds the moby a little girly) and its great for longer trips and naps. The only downside to the ergo is it gets a little warm compared to the moby.

I used the moby when LO was younger and I found it soooo comfortable.
We tried an ergo but both DH and I found it uncomfortable and the shoulder straps would always slide down and we could never adjust it properly so the straps would stay up. LO loved it though.
Now we use a pognae and we love it. The only downside is LO can't face out (but we also have a baby bjorn for that).

I have been researching carriers also, and the ergo reviews on amazon blew me away how positive they are.

Added the ergo on our registry due to glowing recommendations by HB and in real life friends.
We also want to get a k'tan, I heard it's an easier version of the Moby wrap.
My grandma's bringing us a podaegi (korean baby wearing wrap) from Korea too

We babywear a ton and very much love the ergo. I did a pouch sling and a peapod snugglewrap (like the moby) with Toddler Girl before she got into the ergo and didn't really like either of them. The sling is hard on the shoulders and the wrap was just to annoying to get in and out of (my husband never once used it). With Wonder Baby we used the Ergo and the infant insert. The insert was a bit bulky, but she loved it and my back thanked me for it. I think all the well known soft structured carriers are good though, it's a matter of preference.

LO is 2 months old and I have a baby hawk mei tai. I love that you can pick from lots of different fabrics and it's easy to fold up and put in the diaper bag. It's also very comfy and I started using it from the time LO was a week old and you can use it for an older baby too.

I am pretty much obsessed with my Moby. It is sooooo comfy, so easy to transport, and pretty easy to use. I have worn it for 7 hours and it did not get uncomfortable at all. Highly recommend it! We also have a bjorn and HUBBY will wear is occasionally because he thinks the moby is girly.

We did the moby when he was really little. Then we bought a Beco Gemini because he liked facing out. I've used an ergo with my sisters 3 year old and love that as well. I think once you get to the boba, Beco, ergo level it because fit and preference. There is an online place that will let you try them out but I don't know what it is.

The ergo is great, and was definitely a godsend when trying to get the LO to fall asleep. Just note that your baby can heat up while in the infant insert. Mine got the worst heat rash when she was 6 weeks because her head was inside the insert.

I love the ergo. We baby wear a lot, and DH and I both find the ergo comfy for extended wearing. LO is always happy in it, too.

I have the Ergo and the Moby. I love them both, although I prefer the Ergo now that baby is a bit bigger and doesn't need the Ergo infant insert anymore.

We have a Babasling and love it. LO is only 4 mos, but it is still working well and is supposed to work through toddlerhood. It is a sling style, but there is a good amount of padding so it's pretty comfortable as long as it's properly adjusted. I love that I can put our son in a variety of positions and that it's simple (no tying or fussy straps).

We have the Ergo. What I like is that while my 6'3 250lb husband can wear it, I'm 5'7 160 and I can wear it, too. I've been wearing her around the house when she's fussy. It's fantastic!

For little babies I really like ring slings and prefer the HAVA sling. For an older child I like the Boba 3G. Both my husband and I wear my son in the Boba with no issue.

I LOVE my ergo. I use it more than my stroller. As a working mom its great for the weekends when I still want to snuggle with her but we have to be out running errands. I still feel very connected to her and spend lots of bonding time with her so close. I find it really easy to put her in and out of it especially once she was a bit older.

i have both bjorn and ergo. i like both but for different reasons. our baby pretty tall so we used the bjorn right away without even an insert. it was great when he was small. once he got big, we've been using the ergo and I can't complain.
