It seems like you have a good range of things. When is LO due? We had a winter baby so we really used a lot of sleepers or sleep andplays at the beginning. I think we had about 7? After that, some will depend on your style and what you want for LO. We do a lot of onesies because they are cute and easy but i have friends who do more complicated outfits.

You might want some more newborn sized stuff so thatyou have enough for a new outfit at every feeding or change.just in case....

@lydg: i was so skeptical about the newborn sized stuff too but it was all gift or hand me down. My lo was 8 lbs 2 oz but took a little while to get back to her birthweight so we used the newborn stuff up to 2 months mixed with 0-3 so i felt like it was worth it.

We are in arizona so even the winter isnt super cold but since newborns hae hard times with temperatures it still might ben nice to have sleepers.

You could leave tags on maybe but i liked having everythin washed and ready before she showed up.

Regular detergent the whole time. We do use a fragrance free, sensitive skin kind (all free and clear) but we never had any trouble. It is really nice to throw in some of her clothes with ours or vice versa!

I would get more newborn, 0-3, and 3-6. My LO was only in newborn clothes for 2 weeks.... but still I didn't want to be doing laundry every day during those two weeks so it was nice to have a good amount of clothes.

I say 0-3 and 3-6 too. I think it looks cute when the newborns have the over-size outfits on, so I had no issue with dressing LO in 0-3 right from the start. And you might want to do lots of skin-to-skin time as a NB anyways, and just wrap them in blankets in-between.

I just put away the 0-3 outfits last week, at 11 weeks.

Even though everyone knew we were having a boy, lots of people continued to gift us clothing after the baby was born, so I suspect that you might get a ton of clothes still from people who aren't asking what size you need.

I struggle with this because I have a hard time predicting how big she'll be during certain seasons or really even what the weather will be like during those seasons. My favorite things I've been gifted are mostly short sleeves because I know I can add a long sleeve onesie underneath or put a sweater on top. I also like skirts because I can put tights or leggings under it.
