Ever since starting solids two months ago, C has been having issues with number two. I expected that at first but it's been two months in and the poor thing is still having trouble.
Lately, she is going almost every day, but she really strains when she goes- sometimes she cries out or screams. The poops are very very firm and usually pretty small, but she will have three of them in a few hours.
She eats mostly fruits and veggies, very little dairy, some carbs but not a lot. I give her prunes every day (still adjusting the amount so it helps without causing a pooplosion!) She loves pears, and I almost never give her banana or apple since they can be binding.
The ped said I could try juice (prune or pear) if it's bad, or try more prunes, pears, apricots, and peaches. I'd like to keep juice as a last resort since she'd have to have it from a bottle.
Anyone else deal with this? Recs for foods that help or to avoid? I don't want my baby to cry when she poops!!
