What do you use to wash baby's clothes, blankets, etc.? I'm leaning toward a fragrance and dye free option, like Tides free and clear, but I was curious what others have used and what they liked.

We use All Free and Clear on all of our clothes and haven't had any issues with it so far.

We use Dreft. It just smells so damn good : ) We used all free and clear when we were home visiting my parents so we'll probably switch eventually since its cheaper and she had no reaction to it.

I use no fragrance/no dyes for all of us. I make my own powder detergent for adult/household laundry and I use ecos or seventh generation for LO.

We use 7th generation free & clear
edited to add: we use this for all of our laundry
I may buy a special detergent for cloth diapers, but going to wait and see how it goes.

Any fragrance free detergent, we've used tide, method, and 7th generation. We also wash all our clothes with it, since LO is constantly up against our shirts as well.

I voted 3 but could have voted 1 & 3 -- I always use a free and clear detergent, because I'm sensitive to fragrance, so we just use that same stuff on lo's things. Dreft is stupid expensive for no good reason.

I voted #1 but what we use is #3, All Free and Clear.

We're in the midst of changing over to Country Save for everything, makes life easier!

All free and clear, pediatrician suggested it since LO has "sinsitive skin." Don't all babies have sensitive skin? (: either way, we haven't had any problems since switching from dreft (:

We use Mrs. Meyers. I like eco-friendly stuff, and the fragrance doesn't seem to bother anyone in the family. I did use the Mrs. Meyers baby variety at first, and then used that for all our laundry. Then we use Rockin' Green for the cloth diapers and anything super-funky.

I've made my own laundry detergent for years and use the same for hers. It's just Ivory soap, washing soda & borax.

I use Charlie's Soap powder, same as I use for his diapers.

We started using All Free and Clear for everyone when they were babies, but after some time, would use an eco-friendly detergent with a little fragrance like Ecos or Method. They didn't react to detergent with fragrance. Now I make our laundry detergent like the previous poster with Ivory, Borax and Super Washing Soda. It's just easy to make and saves money!

three in a row! i use method free and clear (for all laundry) too.
and just FYI, i stopped using Tide when I came across an article about Tide Gentle having small traces of cancer causing chemicals.

I said the same for everything but we make our own with a similar recipe like what the Bees posted last week with borax, washing soda, and fels naphtha.
