This might be a weird question, but, how much do you usually spend on a gift for a baby shower? Also, what do you do if there are no middle-of-the-road priced items- gift card or go off the registry?

It kind of depends on who it is and how I know them but between $30 and $50 usually. If there isn't anything in my price range and I can't put together a few lower priced items I would probably go off registry. Or I would do a book or two and a gift card, I am probably weird but I would feel funny going into a shower without an actual gift in hand. No matter what though I would make sure to include a gift receipt.

Depends on how close I am to the person. If I'm not close, and the items are too expensive, if either: buy a cute outfit off registry, buy a gift card, or go in on a group gift.
