just had his 4 month check today. he's 18 weeks now and weighs 16 lbs! (26 in) he was 8 lbs 11 oz at birth tho~

Wow...her LO was really tiny! My LO was born at 6lbs 9oz and at 4 months he was 17-ish lbs? He really chunked up in those first 4 months though!

I went back and looked and C was 16lbs 2oz (although that was probably closer to 5 months). She was 10lbs8oz at birth.

@Shopaholic: We just got back from Venice with our 5 month old! Off-topic, but you will love going there with your LO. It was a perfect choice, so baby-friendly. Happy to answer any questions.

We wore our LO all day and it was fine - one of us would wear him before lunch and the other after lunch. Like @Hilsy85 we have a long and lean LO, he had pretty much the same measurements - 7lbs 9oz at birth and 13lbs 12oz at 4.5 months.

that sounds small to me! LO was born 7lb10oz, and at 4 months was just under 16 lbs.

@shopaholic: J is already 11 lbs at 1-month so i think her LO is really tiny!

i used the ergo up til noelle was 16-mnths, and she was always in the 90th percentile.

My LO was 12 lbs at 4 months.

She was 7.13 at birth.

I baby wear her now constantly and she probably weighs 17 lbs or so and I don't find it heavy or uncomfortable at all (we use the Ergo).

LO was 7 lbs 2 oz at birth and 13 lbs at 4 months.

DS was 8lbs 2oz at birth and 15lbs 3oz at 4 months (had to look it up! haha)

I still carry him in the Ergo and he's now 22lbs at 15 months

Babywearing past 16 lb does not get uncomfortable expecislly in a carrier like the Ergo! 16 lbs is where the Moby stops at and the baby starts to slip which can make it uncomfortable or annoying to constantly readjust. The Ergo doesn't have that issue and is still comfortable to wear with my 23 mo old 28 lber for extended periods! I also still wear him in a WCRS, WCMT, or woven wrap...all comfortably.

LO was 7 pounds 6 ounces at birth and at 4 months he was just over 17 pounds. He's a big boy though!

She was 8 lb 5 oz at birth and 16 lb at 4 months.

I baby wear with BB often & it is never uncomfortable, even now at 5.5m & I'm estimating him at about 17lbs?

E was 8lb 12oz at 17lb 3oz at his 4.5ish month appointment. He gets heavy to carry after a while but DH and I switch off carrying him.

LO was 8lb 3 oz when born and is was 15lb 13oz at her 4 month checkup. Seems to be right about where a lot of the other babies are/were!
And how exciting! I hope your trip is amazing!

@shopaholic: if you and DH are switching off you should be fine. I wore my LO all the time at that age in the Moby. You might want to think about getting another structured carrier for you if you're going to be wearing all day. DH and I find it to be a PITA to switch off using the ergo because we have to size adjust it every time. I usually wear a wrap and DH will ergo but I wish I had a Beco just for me.
