Do you count your LO's age by weeks or by months since those two don't really line up? For instance, DS's birthday is July 19th. He'll be 15 weeks this Friday (15 weeks divided by avg. of 4 weeks per month = almost 4 months!), but month wise, he's just barely over 3 months. What age do you tell people when they ask how old your LO is?

Plus, like you said, it doesn't line up! She's currently 17 weeks but won't be 4 months til next week.

I did weeks until 6 months and we'll do months until 2. After that, she'll just go by years.

I did weeks until about 4 months when it stopped lining up. Now I do months. She is 6 months

With mine I did until about 12 weeks. Then I just started using months. So now I just say DD is 3 months. And DS is 18 months.

Once she got beyond 8w I said whatever month she was, or just over X months, I felt silly saying weeks once it got to a certain point.

I remember my mom reminding me that a month doesn't have exactly 4 weeks in it. I had sort of forgotten! I realized I would have been saying that M was 12 months old when she was really only 11 months if I kept up counting that way.
I think I started really thinking in months rather than weeks at about 4 months.

It depends- if she is very close to the month point I'll give it in months. In all other cases I give the no. of weeks.

I did weeks until around 4 months and now I just do months, although I'll often say 7.5 months or something if he's in between.

I think that I counted his age in weeks until 20-24 weeks. After that I just switched to months! I have noooo idea how many weeks he is right now lol.

I say months because I feel like people get confused when I say weeks (like they are counting in their head!).
