My three month old has her first cold; runny nose, red eyes, fever, cough. She slept a total of 1.5 hours last night, and hasn't napped since 7 am. I know she's uncomfortable, and I've tried just about everything.
Any tips or tricks to settle her and make her comfy enough to nap?

Oh poor baby! Have you done the snot sucker and saline drops in her nose? Maybe a humidifier in her room would help? I think probably just a lot of snuggles are the best you can do, and Tylenol for the fever. Hope she feels better soon!

Tylenol, yes. I don't have saline drops - will they help? I'm compiling a list of stuff for DH to get (humidifier, etc) so I can add those!

My son is just getting over his first cold. It sucks, I'm sorry for you guys!
That first night, the only thing that helped him sleep was creating a steam room in the bathroom by turning on the space heater and running the hot water. The steam helped him breathe and I think the sound of the running water was soothing too!

P.S. You can make your own saline solution with 1 tsp of salt to 1 cup of water. Arm & Hammer also makes a baby saline with no additives.

Aww poor thing! A steamy bathroom, humidifier, and saline drops are our go to for G's colds. Hope she feels better soon!

We are going through our first cold too. Tylenol and a humidifier. And he just wants to be held a lot plus extra nursing.

When DS had a cold a few months ago the saline drops before the snot sucker really seemed to help. We also elevated his crib mattress by rolling up a towel under one side to help with the drainage.

tylenol, baby vick's, a humidifier, sleeping inclined, using a saline solution and then the nose frida!
you can DIY your own saline drops. sea salt, baking powder, and filtered water...I've done it in a pinch!
