Our LO is always bundled up. I'm talking onesie + sleeper + usually swaddled in a blanket in SoCal weather. Our house is set at 71 degrees. She always has mittens or fold-over cuffs on, but whenever I change her or feel her hands they are ALWAYS cold! Did this happen to anyone else? I wonder if it's anything I should worry about?

awwww I remember this!! I would always worry but as long as she doesn't seem uncomfortable I would say don't worry too much. 71 degrees is plenty warm!

A used to have cold hands when she was tiny, but we read it was normal and not an indicator of her overall body temperature. Her moses basket was near the window then though so I wonder if that's what caused it... sounds like your LO is well snuggled up though : )

@shopaholic: normal! Ds is four mths n still wakrs up w chilled hands... its their circulation that isn't mautred yet!

Mine was always cold! The doctor said it's nothing to worry about, and usually hands and feet will be cold. No need to go crazy bundling them up.

same here. she's in a footie, a fleece sleepsack and her room is set to 71-72 degrees and her hands are still freezing.

Oh good to hear it's normal! I already think we over bundle her sometimes, but her grandmas always insist to bundle her up so much. And I couldn't understand why her feet and hands were always still cold. Thanks!

@shopaholic: yup there circulation is just not developed completley yet! someone told me to check if there cold by checking there belly or back and not to go by hands or feet!
