Babywearing experts I need some help! I'm looking for a suggestion for how to wear my newborn that's not a stretchy wrap. My boys I happily wore in the Moby, but it has been so hot the last couple of days that both baby and I are getting way too sweaty.
I have a short woven wrap that I got when my babies were older so I only really carried them on my hip. Is there a way I could tie it to work for a newborn?
Or alternatively, suggestions for a SSC that would work or something else?

I loved a mei tai and a ring sling when my daughter was a newborn.

You can absolutely use a short woven with a newborn! Try looking up a rebozo carry. Or maybe a reinforced torso rebozo. Or kangaroo carry. There are lots that would work!

I know you said no stretchy wrap, but I just want to point out the Solly wrap is much thinner and lighter than the moby. You still have to wrap it and everything but I found it a lot easier to work with than the moby.

I have a Lillebaby Airflow that I started using when my son was 2 weeks! You don't need an infant insert and it's made of a mesh material so it's about as good as it gets for warm weather. It's always hot having a baby right up against you, but at least with the Airflow, there's some fresh air that can get to baby.

I've been using a linen ring sling from sleeping baby and loving it for hot weather.

I've been using a Babyhawk since my son was just a few weeks old and love it.

I also used a ring sling. My biggest tip is to always make sure that there is a layer of clothes between you and the baby. Being Skin to skin generated a TON of heat. Get your snuggles in while in the AC!

I love the boba. I was intimidated by wrapping it when I first got it. But literally after 2 times I felt confident and LO loved it!

i used a beco gemini with my newborn and it's great. it does get hot sometimes, but that;s only when i am out walking with him in it for a long time,

I really love my ring sling for the newborn. Or the k'tan, but that's just like the moby wrap.

i never really baby wore with either of my 2 kids but I got a solly baby wrap this time and have used it several times on my almost 4 week old and he falls right to sleep in it every time. Definitely a learning curve with using it but each time I use it it gets easier for me to do. I also have a beco Gemini that I have used but I think he is somewhat too little yet for it.

I only ever used the moby wrap or Boba SSC. Mine is the 3.0 version, but it converts for newborn carry. I like both equally, but my daughter always spits up in the Boba
