I really don't want to do the traditional lingerie/bedroom toys/embarrassing gifts. I'd like to do something a little more fun and unique. Any ideas? Or if you think I should just fall in line and get something sexy, you can tell me that, too!

I've done a fancy silk shorts and tank set (so could be sexy, could be luxurious sleepwear, not embarrassing) and a pretty thin cuff bracelet with a nice sentiment engraved on it.

Are they going on a honeymoon? Maybe a honeymoon basket - sunscreen, massage oil, flip flops that say Mrs on the bottom. Or a date night basket for when they return - champagne and chocolates and a DVD?

@Alba4: Yes, it's pretty common around here anyway. The shower is usually something from the registry and the bachelorette party is more funny gifts or lingerie. Her lingerie sizes were listed on the invitation.
ETA I don't mind getting her a gift, I am happy, to. I just want to get her something she will actually use and appreciate.

@Mrs. Champagne: That would be pretty!
@erinbaderin: I like that--they are going to Italy so I don't want to give them anything extra to pack, but maybe the date night idea!

@Alba4: I always give a little something but I don't think it's totally expected, at least in my area. I've been to a few where I'm the only one who has a gift.

@tlcbaby: add a takeout GC to the date night basket.
Orr this isn't terribly sexy or fun but we used travel space bags when we honeymooned and it was such a space saver!

For non-undie options, how about a personalized ring dish from Etsy?
I like giving a personalized Hanky Panky thong at bachelorette parties - most stores that sell them can add on the bride to bed new monogram in rhinestones, or there are pre-designed "bride" and "mrs." options.

@Smurfette: @regberadaisy: @PinkElephant: All super-cute ideas! It's this Saturday so I guess I need to make a decision!
