Anyone have a not crazy expensive balance bike they can recommend? I want to buy 2 for the twins' 3rd birthday and am finding bikes for ~150 on Amazon and that seems crazy to me!
I don't to buy something that is total junk......but not trying to break the bank either....

@meadow: we love our Chillafish bike! DS is into his second year riding and it’s been great. I think it was about 75$. We had a wodden one for DD but I prefer the Chillafish.

In our area there are a ton on OfferUp and FB marketplace. Got ours for $20. It's a Schwinn.

We have a used Strider we got for $20-30. It's great! My husband repainted it purple bc that is DD1's favorite color and the company actually sent replacement grips and accent stickers. When he called about the replacement grips, they also sold him a higher height seat so we could use it longer and that was a really reasonable price. I see them used a lot - check NextDoor and FB marketplace!

You can also check your local bike shops and see if they have any sales, trade-in programs, or used bikes to sell. We ended up getting DD a strider from our local shop for less than its listed online, and they helped us get it set to the right height, made sure her helmet was properly fitted, and gave suggestions on how to teach her to ride it.

We started my son on this one for $50 at about 2.5 years old.
My 4 year old prefers to use it when compared to her larger balance bike.

@meadow: You should be able to get both for under $150! We got the basic strider one and I want to say it was around $60. My 3 year old loves it!
