I am expecting our first LO in June. Most of my family do not live in the same country as us and will be travelling after the birth to meet LO during the first few months. Ideally it would be nice if they could attend the baptism too.

Asides from the sheer optimism of actually having the energy to host a baptism so soon after birth, do you think its irresponsible to have the baptism before baby's 2 month vaccinations?

There would be at least 50 people there and obviously a lot of people would be interested in meeting the LO.

For a number of reasons the baptism has to be done early and it must be done before 6 months.. So even if we do not do it before the vaccinations it will need to be done early.

Did any of you take your LO to events where there were lots of people potentially touching them before they received their 2 month vaccines?
