We booked tickets so it's official! A week each in Barcelona and Paris with LO, who will be about 9.5 months at the time. I'm looking into vacation rentals through VRBO for each week and we'll take the train in between.

Any advice on areas that are LO friendly (although at 9.5 mo I suppose it's not too crucial) and easy public transport (we're not going to bring her car seat)? We plan on baby wearing and not bringing a stroller unless she decides to hate baby wearing by then (unlikely!). I'm trying to find rentals that are one bedroom with a patio/terrace, so we have a space to be when she's napping or her early bedtime. Also bonus to have a washer since I hate hand washing and we'll be there 2 week!

I basically know nothing about either city, and DH has been but was young so doesn't remember much. We're going to do super low key sightseeing, with low expectations for LO's first international trip! We'll be doing a cross country flight the month prior, so we'll have a good idea how flying goes, eek!
