Have you ever used a bath seat? My 5.5 month old is sitting up (assisted) pretty well now so I want to try bathing her in the big bath tub with her sister to make my life easier (hopefully). I was thinking about putting her in a bath seat. Any recs?

We had a safety first one that hooked on to the side of the tub that we loved. I think it was recalled though and they don't sell it anymore. It was much more sturdy then the ones that just suction to the bottom of the tub.
Ive also seen the laundry basket trip.

We just have one of the older blue ring seat things we got for free, works really well. I've also seen the laundry basket trick, which could work but may take up more space if you want to get two kiddos in there.

@Bao: oh, stick the baby in an actual laundry basket?

@Andrea: haha yeah! You can google image it. I suppose if you found a small enough basket, idk? We just use our bath ring.

this is what we have. I can't find it at an actual store so maybe they don't make them anymore.

We just used the infant/toddler bath tub at that age. I initially wanted a bath seat two but from my research online bath seats are not as safe as bath tubs

@Andrea: just get a cheap laundry basket and use that as a seat. It lets the water come through but baby can't really fall over.

I used the inflatable Munchkin tub for LO...I started using it when she was sitting, but not totally steady. Definitely don't think you could fit two kids in the tub using it though..not comfortably anyway!

@Bao: @T.H.O.U.: Ok...DH is going to think I am nuts. I am going to Bed Bath tomorrow anyway. I will look for a small basket!

@autumnlove: lol, no, not for now! are you looking for one that is more reclined?

@Andrea: Yes, I currently use a huge Euro bath for the baby and I want something smaller. My MIL's friend gave me a giant (used) sponge...not sure how to use it!

@autumnlove: yes, I know, I have one! I didn't know it was for baths, though. I put the baby on it on the floor of the bathroom while I am filling up the bath tub. Not sure if that is what it's for, but that is why I bought it! I would not think to pass it onto someone....LOL!!!
