We have the Puj tub for my LO, which is great but she's a chunk and now at 3.5 she pretty much displaces the water it holds and it ends up being more of a sponge bath. Which does the job but she really loves the water so I think she'd have more fun if it was more...bathlike? She can't sit up on her own without support yet, but does have really good head control. I don't really want to get an infant tub just until she can sit on our own in our tub. Any ideas? Just prop her up in the kitchen sink? I can't imagine I could manage that very well with a happy, wriggly, slippery baby!

We have this tub - one side for laying down before they can sit up then the other side for sitting up. It's huuuge.

We have the same tub as @regberadaisy: and LO did great transitioning from the Puj. It allows for reclining which sounds right for your LO.

@regberadaisy: yes. We have this tub and it's awesome. We use it still at 15 months and she has plenty of room. She could just sit in the regular tub but it uses so much less water.

Hmm. I didn't really want to buy a whole tub but maybe I should! I was hoping for some magic baby seat that I could stick in the sink or something that would be really small, haha. We're going to be moving back across the country this summer and I wanted less to lug but it sounds like this might be worth it?

@MenagerieMama: just sell it before you move. It's seriously huge. I wouldn't waste the space on a moving truck!

It is not a magic baby item, but at that age I used the big tub and got in with LO. He could "sit" on my lap well.

We have this tub and r commend it to all our friends it raises the tub height to save parents backs. Since the infant portion is removable we use it as a regular tub for my 3 year old! It's plenty big for play and saves a lot of water.

@MenagerieMama: If you feel strongly about not having any bulk to move with, there are the inflatable tubs. We're about to switch from that giant tub to something inflatable or just plop him in the regular tub by himself now, and he probably could have just been in the inflatable thing earlier.

We have the Boon Naked - it collapses up super flat , hangs to dry and has 2 settings - one with an incline for baby and one that is deeper for a toddler. We love it!!

at some point, I stopped using the baby tub and just put a hand towel down on the floor of the tub and filled up about an inch or so of water. She could splash around and didn't slide too much because of the towel. The downside was having to wring out and dry the towel after every bath.

@Charm54: we also have the boon. We have loved it through two kids, though moved LO2 to the big tub sooner since the boys share a bath.

Can you just get in the big tub with her? Or do a shower with her? I won't waste money on another tub because in about a month and half she will be sitting up and can go the big tub by herself!
