So, we found out yesterday we're having a baby girl at the end of June! I'm super excited and went shopping (of course) for a few things. I came across the CUTEST little swimsuit for babies but was curious, would I use it? I'll be at a pool and/or the lake all summer. The pool is saltwater and has no chemicals, but I don't think we'll be "laking it' with a newborn. Have any of you used a swimsuit for a baby that young, or is it typically just a diaper for her first summer? Thanks!

Yes, my LO had one! She was maybe 3-4 months? We just had her in an inflatable kiddie pool but I took some of the cutest pictures ever. Congrats btw!

Our doctor said no public pools that young. We asked because we went to buy a swim diaper for going camping at Disney when she was 3 months and they didn't have any in her size. We figured there had to be a reason. We're paranoid people and listen to the doctor, but I know many people who have their babies swim in public pools very early so do whatever you're comfortable with.

@artbee: Thanks, I'll keep her out of public pools, this is a family pool so I'm comfortable with toe waggling, etc.
