When did you switch from the baby bathtub vs going into the big full bathtub? Was it a certain age/milestone?

Still use the tub part of infant tub at 12 months, she is happy and it contains her

T hated the tub. We started showering with her at 6ish weeks. Now she digs the big bathtub and has liked it since about 6 months.

We ditched the baby bathtub (we have the Fisher Price whale one) when she could sit up unassisted, because she was trying to climb out of the baby one. YIKES.

We've used the big tub the whole time. We just had a seat we used to contain her at first. But once she was good at sitting up on her own, she hated the seat so we've switched to just using the entire bathtub with a bath mat so she doesn't slip and slide.
ETA: we did this around 5.5 months old.

@MrsBrewer: we never used the infant tub. She was in the big tub from the beginning. Either that, or the shower. We never missed it!

She screamed bloody murder in the baby bathtub. We've been doing baths in the sink since week one and she loves them. I'm going to switch her to the big bathtub once she can sit up reliably, so I don't have to hold her up.

We switched when she started trying to launch herself out of the baby tub. She could sit up before then but it was easier to fill the little tub- our bathtub takes a while to fill up enough.

When she could sit up, and she was getting too big to fit in the infant tub, which fortunately happened at about the same time.

Seemingly kinda late, like maybe 14 months? We had tried moving him to the regular tub before then, but he didn't like it. I still use the infant one now, when he's sick and we're doing a steam shower. I'll put him in the infant tub and the sit next to him so we can play while he gets the steam treatment.
