What did you do for BC after your baby was born? I loved getting off of hormonal birth control so I don't really want to take it again and am not 100% sold on getting an IUD. What did you ladies do?

I went on the mini pill but that pretty much made my milk supply non existent so I stopped now I'm on nothing, hmm still gotta figure that out lol

I'm not sure yet, because i was on the Pill for 12 years and it took me forever to start ovulating again...Plus potential BF issues....and once we are ready we have to try unsuccessfully for 6 months before the RE will have us back. I don't want back-to-back kids but I dont' want them really far apart either.

We're going to let nature take it's course after LO gets here. DH wants four kids and I'll be 32 in February so I only have so long to make that happen. When we are officially done reproducing I'll get another Mirena IUD. I had one before TTC and it was wonderful, no pills to remember (or forget) and no periods the whole time I had it.

I didn't realize BC could cause BF issues -all the more reason for me to not go back to it ! I considered one of these: http://www.amazon.com/VE-Valley-Electronics-GmbH-Germany-LCF1001/dp/B000NOKX4Q
i heard they work great but they are SO pricey. Wondering if something like this will be covered under the new health care implementations?

@coacheswife123: I would be SHOCKED if that was covered under health insurance. So many people, doctors included, thing any form of FAM or NFP is bogus, so I'd be surprised if they would cover something like that. Even BBT thermometers have to have a thing that says "not intended for pregnancy prevention".
I can't comment on BC after baby, but I was lurking to read about what others have done when I saw that.

I went on Mirena- I'm not a huge fan of hormonal birth control either and I was charting before Prettybaby was born but I really wanted to avoid an oopsie baby and I didn't want to risk waiting for my first period to come back not knowing when it would be. I'd do it again, just for the simplicity of it all. No supply issues, no side effects that I can tell.
