Hubby and I are officially TTC this month, and I've heard great reviews on the Clearblue Fertility digital monitor. However, it's a lil pricey. If we BD every day, you think that should cover our basis, or should I invest in the monitor as well?

You could always go a step down and just use the clear blue easy digital ovulation tests! Some people say BD every day is the way to go, others say BD every other day. We did the every other day thing with ovulation tests.

We did it every day and it worked like a charm for us!
When I originally asked my OB about fertility monitoring, he said if my cycles are pretty regular, there's nothing that beats a good ole BD every day. GOod luck!

I used the Clear Blue fertility monitor for several reasons, including that I am older (36) and my window for trying before medical intervention was much smaller (and we had been trying for months), and because my cycles have always been short. It really helped!
But I agree with @WinneBee, maybe start with digital ovulation tests.

My doctor has us on a strict BD every other day plan. She said that that was plenty and that way you're sure to have a good swimmer #

We got our BFP the first month I used a CBEFM! It might've been a coincidence but the monitor helped me pinpoint that I O'ed two days later than the previous two cycles when I had only used OPKs to test for O.
I bought mine used off ebay for $115 which include 20 test sticks (used them all that cycle).
We also BD'ed every day for 12 days with one day where skipped!

DH and I BD'd every day while he was home. He travels 2-3 days a week. Just worked out that I O'd when he was home!
