DS will be 2 this month and thinking of sending ice cream to his daycare as an early bday snack for him and the other kids in his class...
Would you go and "celebrate" with him and the kids at daycare even though the "party" won't fall on his actual bday? Fwiw, we will have a family affair on his actual bday...

We didn't go to our lo's daycare party. The teachers don't make it very "parent friendly" though. I also am pretty sure my lo would have wanted to leave with me when I left, too!

We're not allowed to bring food to school. I sent coloring books instead and wrote a little note inside that said "thanks for celebrating my birthday with me". That's pretty much it.

No I don't go - the snack I send in is given at the afternoon snack time and that's about it - not really a "party"

@mediagirl: I keep going back and forth on this especially since I will have #2 with me... I pick #1 up after they have had their afternoon snack so it may actually work out (but the thought of nursing #2 in a room full of toddlers doesn't seem appealing)
@MUI831: oooh!!! Coloring books....that's a great idea...I'm going to target tomorrow and hope there's some in the dollar section

@butterbean: I totally lucked out at Target since there were Sesame Street birthday coloring books each for a $1! And they had exactly the number I needed. Phew.
Other parents have done crayons, playdoh, and stickers for their kids.
