Any recommendations? My infant is too young for sunscreen and Id like someplace she and my toddler (if needed) can get out of the sun and wind
Too many options on Amazon!

We have a BabyMoov tent that's pretty awesome. It has a little padded 'mattress' that goes in the bottom, and raised sides with a canopy. K used it all summer, and it folds up pretty small!

Not sure of the brand, but I remember seeing one for a good price at Costco!

This one. We had the umbrella one and it sucked. Got this, and it was a revelation. They have seriously thought of every single detail you would want in a beach tent and it's on there. Plus it sets up, truly, in seconds, which is insanely valuable when you are near water with smaller kids.

@sorrycharlie: We just tried out our Shade Shack for the first time today - it was great!!

Looks like @Mrs. Twine: 's tent has better reviews though!

We have this one that we got from Costco - http://www.amazon.com/Lightspeed-Outdoors-Quick-Cabana-Shelter/dp/B005LGV2PA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1434344017&sr=8-2&keywords=beach+tent
It's super easy to setup and breakdown, but I like how compact @mrbee: 's tent looks.

We got ours at Costco and it looks like the one @Mrs. High Heels: linked to.
But man now I want yours @mrbee:! I wish we had that one for our beach vacation next month! It looks like it can be stuffed in a suitcase, or at least carried on a plane, right?

We love our Sportbrella - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002CLQ1Q2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1434368380&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX200_QL40&keywords=sportbrella&dpPl=1&dpID=410zcMhB-KL&ref=plSrch
Opens like an umbrella and then you just secure it with anchors. We did find that getting real sand anchors was helpful. I think the anchors it comes with are better for grass. We have ones that look like this - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MXBPU9U/ref=mp_s_a_1_22?qid=1434368743&sr=8-22&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=Tent+anchor&dpPl=1&dpID=31yc8wupUdL&ref=plSrch.

@Boogs: Yah it folds up into a very little bag, I actually don't understand how it's even possible.
What I like about the tent is that it doesn't have anything on the bottom - so the kids can build sand castles while out of the sun!

@mrbee: Exactly. We always have sand inside ours from kids trying to build sand castles by the shade. I imagine it would be great for taking to kids sporting events also!

@ShootingStar: That looks awesome! We just got a beach condo and I've been wanting something that I can easily set up on my own since I'll be there a lot with LO but without DH. I don't mind having to anchor it, I was more worried about the "canopy" part being set up.
Would I be able to do this on my own quickly enough with a roaming 9-12 month old?

@SweetiePie: I think so. You have to be careful if it's windy. Though that would be a concern with anything you'd use. You can probably pop it open and get the anchors in in about 5 minutes or so.

@ShootingStar: We also have the sportbrella (the XL version) and LOVE it.
We just went to the beach for a week and it's seriously a lifesaver (especially when you're 8.5 months pregnant). We had an older version (from last year), but on our trip we ended up getting a second one, which was a newer version. It's even better than our model from last year. They upgraded some things and it's amazing.

awesome, thanks for all the recommendations!! we don't go to the beach often, but with C being so young I'm nervous about having her in the sun.
